Android 10 comes to the Nintendo Switch

The same people who originally brought Android to the Nintendo Switch, the Switchroot team, are back with an Android 10 update, according to XDA-Developers. While the mod is only available for certain Switch models, it allows users who install it to run apps from the Google Play Store, like games, emulators, and streaming services like Netflix and Twitch.

The update also brings some more polish to the mod, letting the Joy-Con sticks work as proper analog sticks instead of eight-way D-pads, deep sleep support that the devs say “can last for weeks,” over-the-air updates, and better Wi-Fi support that promises fewer disconnections.

Of course, the real reason for adding Android to a Switch is so you can play games that aren’t Switch games, likes the ones made playable by the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and PSP emulators on the Play Store. You can see how those perform on the Switch in the video below. Of course, you can also get other Play Store games like Genshin Impact or apps like Spotify. But you’re also not giving up the ability to play Switch games, as Android is installed on a microSD card instead of being flashed to the console itself.

It’s worth noting that Android on the Switch is extraordinarily unofficial. The LineageOS team isn’t officially supporting the port, and it’s more or less a modified build of the OS that was meant for Nvidia’s Shield TV. The exploit to get Android running also only works on Switches that came out before Nintendo’s chipset and battery upgrades, which completely excludes the Switch Lite. Even if you own one of the moddable Switches, which you can check with an online tool, some of the guides on how to get into the Android bootloader say it’s possible to brick your Switch if you make a mistake. Extreme caution is advised.

There are also caveats, like the fact that the games built for the Nvidia Shield don't work, according to the XDA forum post that acts as a guide on how to install the mod. However, the list of bummers is way smaller than it was last time when the version of Android was LineageOS 15.1, which was based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The new version is based on LineageOS 17.1, which is a build of Android 10.

It’s nice to see this Switch mod get some love and become improved over the years. The changelog below includes a solid number of updates, so it’s worth checking out if you’re running a previous version.

    * Android 10 based on Lineage 17.1
    * OTA updates.
    * Full Joy-Con and Pro Controller support with analog sticks and rails.
    * Hori Joy-Con support.
    * Deep sleep that can last for weeks.
    * An Android TV based build.
    * Reworked fan profiles for quieter operation.
    * Optimised dock support with resolution scaling.
    * A rewritten charger driver supporting USB-PD and third party docks.
    * Optimised touch screen driver.
    * Easier install via hekate partition tool.
    * Reworked, simpler, power profiles.
    * Much improved WiFi driver with less dropouts.
    * Shield TV remote app support for easy docked control.
    * Reboot to payload support.
    * Improved Bluetooth accessory support.
    * Auto rotation support.

Apex Legends is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 9th

Apex Legends is coming to the Nintendo Switch very soon. Today, EA announced that the portable version of its sci-fi battle royale will debut on Nintendo’s tablet on March 9th. Chad Grenier, Apex’s game director, says the new version will include “cross-platform play, our latest seasonal content, and full feature parity with the other versions of the game.” Apex Legends originally launched in early 2019, and a Switch version was announced last June.

It’s developed by Respawn, the studio behind games like Titanfall and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The Switch version launches not long after the game’s eighth season, which launches today. To make up for the difference, EA says that “since we’re launching a few weeks after the start of season eight, Switch players will be granted 30 free levels for their season eight battle pass. For the first two weeks after launch, playing on Switch will also earn you double XP.” Nintendo’s device is steadily becoming a great portable option for some of the biggest free-to-play multiplayer games around, with Apex joining titles like Fortnite, Rocket League, and Spellbreak.

Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 Are Playable in the New Tesla Model S

CEO Of Space X Elon Musk asked fans on Twitter if they wanted to see The Witcher game available on Tesla (NASDAQGS:TSLA -2.14%) . With the newly refurbished Model S, fans might just see this dream become a reality. The latest Model S update boasts a 10-teraflop gaming computer that supposedly “enables in-car gaming on-par with today’s newest consoles.” Every Model S will also come with “wireless controller compatibility that allows gaming available from any seat.” The interior redesign is the Model S’s first major update since its 2012 debut. Similar to the Model 3 and Model Y, the center screen commands attention at 17-inches while rear-seat passengers get an 8-inch screen that offers the same gaming functions as the main screen.

With its main screen, Tesla promises “2200×1300 resolution, ultra-bright colors with exceptional responsiveness and left-right tilt”, further claiming that “the new center display is an ideal touchscreen for entertainment and gaming anywhere.” To ensure that passengers can enjoy Tesla not only for its automotive capabilities but as an alternative gaming den, the interior features includes three-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats all around, and more sculpted rear seats, and a new fold-down armrest with cupholders. Its 22-speaker audio system, ambient lighting, and glass roof add to the comfortable gaming atmosphere inside the Model S. Though the interiors appear to steal the show, the refreshed Model S will see a new front bumper, new 19- and 21-inch wheel designs, and a tweaked rear diffuser. Matching the Model Y exterior trim, the Model S is finished in black, however, the white color palette is still the only no-cost option. According to recent tweets from Elon Musk, both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 will be available to play on Tesla. Those interested can check out the claims for themselves on Tesla Model S.

Cyberpunk 2077 Has Sold More Than 13 Million Copies, Despite Refunds

Cyberpunk 2077 has already sold more than 13 million copies since its launch two weeks ago, according to the parent company of developer CD Projekt Red. The sales milestone, revealed in an investor note from CD Projekt S.A. on Tuesday, is a remarkable one considering it accounts for some digital and physical refunds resulting from the game’s messy launch. That metric is counting sales between the game’s release on December 10th through December 20th, the note says. It’s about half of the 12-month sales forecast analysts projected for the game shortly after launch but before digital storefronts said they would begin accepting refunds, Bloomberg reports. Selling 13 million copies makes Cyberpunk 2077 one of the bestselling games of the year, though it still lags far behind the top 50 bestselling games of all time and CD Projekt Red’s last big hit, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which has sold more than 28 million copies across all platforms. Still, few games ever sell more than 10 million copies, and to break into the top 50 of all time you need only sell more than 19 million copies (to beat out NES classic Super Mario Bros. 3).

It’s likely Cyberpunk 2077 sales could soar far higher once the studio fixes more of its bugs and the game is rereleased on the PlayStation Store. Sony pulled the game last week and began processing digital refunds for unsatisfied buyers. The financial success of the roleplaying game stands in stark contrast with its public perception as a multifaceted failure, a fact that has only intensified criticism of CD Projekt Red and also raised the possibility of a class action lawsuit. That something can be that successful while also being considered a deeply compromised product is also a stunning indictment of the current video game industry and its marketing and preorder model. Because the studio promised the game would run well on current-generation consoles, it was able to accumulate more than 8 million preorders for Cyberpunk 2077, effectively covering the costs of the game’s nearly decade-long development cycle in single-day sales. Meanwhile, the studio took efforts to allegedly hide the performance of the game on those systems from media outlets ahead of time, according to a report from The New York Times. Unlike other forms of media, which can often be easily assessed in a standardized format, video games require extensive first-hand experience on a variety of platforms for the full extent of a product’s overall quality to become clear. Without that knowledge ahead of time, millions of people purchased Cyberpunk 2077, only to discover its flaws later once players began posting clips online and assessing the game’s various bugs and performance issues on message boards. Hence the refund campaign, which was its own whirlwind of controversy after CD Projekt Red revealed it had not hammered out formal refund agreements with its retail partners before advising customers ask for their money back. But if there’s any silver lining here, it’s that a project as huge and ambitious and, ultimately, over-hyped as Cyberpunk 2077 is now a teachable moment for customers and developers alike about treating major game releases with more skepticism and requiring more transparency around the quality of a product before placing a preorder.

Cyberpunk 2077 Developer Says Disappointed Players Can Ask For Refunds

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red has acknowledged the performance issues plaguing the game on base last-gen consoles, and has apologized for not showing the game running on the original PS4 and Xbox One prior to its release. “We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” it said in a notice published on Twitter. The developer said it is hoping to fix the “most prominent problems” with a series of patches to be released over the coming months, but added that anyone who doesn’t want to wait will be able to return their copy of the game. The statement follows numerous posts about how poorly the game runs on the older machines. Players have reported choppy frame rates, weird physics, texture pop-in, and screen tearing.

Its performance has quickly become an online meme, Polygon reports, and videos and screenshots of the issues have been going viral on Twitter. CD Projekt Red gave the PC version of the game to most reviewers, and seemingly did not provide console versions of the game, meaning these performance issues have only received widespread attention after the game’s release. In an investor call last month, CD Projekt Red joint-CEO Adam Kaciński even said the game runs “surprisingly well” on last-gen’s base hardware. We reviewed the game on PC, and although we found it was buggy, we didn’t see any of the more serious issues that players are reporting on the base PS4 and Xbox One. CD Projekt Red apologized for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before its release “and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase.” The developer promises that a host of fixes are coming to fix the performance problems, starting with another round of updates that’ll be released in the next seven days. In January and February, CD Projekt Red plans on releasing a pair of large patches that it says “should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles.” However it cautions that “they won’t make the game on last-gen look like it’s running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now.” It says the PC version of the game will also be receiving regular updates and fixes. There’s also an upgraded next-gen console version of the game on the way, though there’s no word on when exactly that’s arriving. Although fixes are on the way, the developer says that players are free to request refunds if they don’t want to wait. Digital purchases can be returned via Sony and Microsoft’s respective refund systems (IGN notes many buyers have already reported successfully claiming refunds via these methods, which isn’t usually possible in cases like this), and it says players should attempt to return boxed versions of the game to wherever they bought it. It has set up a dedicated email address for players to contact over the next week if they have trouble returning their copies.

Call of Duty Warzone Halloween Event : Haunting of Verdansk

Warzone's Haunting of Verdansk event is mixing things up with a new nighttime map, zombies, and killer costumes from some famous horror movies. Meanwhile, multiplayer is redecorating several of its modes. Look for scarecrows instead of flags in Domination, skulls instead of dog tags in Kill Confirmed, and more. The Haunting of Verdansk Halloween event is now live and does not require a restart, or any additional download in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Gamers can enjoy the following new modes across both MW and Warzone today:

MODERN WARFARE

    Gunfright
    Haunted House Party
    Onslaughter

WARZONE

    Blood Money Trios
    Zombie Royale (Night Map)
BR Trick or Trios (Night Map)

The Haunting of Verdansk Halloween event has been officially unveiled for the next Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone update, across PS4, Xbox One and PC. Warzone gamers can look forward to the launch of Night Time Battle Royale and Zombie Royale Modes, alongside a new trick-or-treat event that rewards with new items to unlock.

Here's the latest news from Activision on the Warzone Halloween event arriving on October 20, 2020:
NIGHT TIME: "Although the full moon’s glow prevents total darkness, operators might want to still pack some Thermal optics in their Loadout Drops to help spot enemies lurking about in low-light areas or use Cold-Blooded to counter these high-tech tools.

TRICK-OR-TREAT EVENT: "No matter the operation, visiting Verdansk at night will leave operators open to a few frights. Some say that a ventriloquist doll frequently appears on television sets tuned to defunct channels, and the poltergeist of a chainsaw-wielding killer can be seen and heard across the Krovnik Farmland. Others claim that the defunct tracks near the Train Station are still in use by a ghost train, a vessel filled with souls of those who lost their lives fighting in the Gulag…

ZOMBIE ROYALE: "Operators can fight against and alongside powerful zombified creatures as part of Zombie Royale, a limited-time mode where death is far from permanent.

"Instead of being sent to the Gulag, dead Operators will come back to life as a zombie. Although zombies cannot use weapons, they have supernatural abilities: increased speed, improved jumps, deadlier melee attacks, and thermal vision."

ORIGINAL: The next Call of Duty Modern Warfare update could be a big one for COD Warzone fans across PS4, Xbox One and PC. While Activision hasn’t said much about its plans for the Haunting of Verdansk, it appears that we will be finding out more in the coming days.

Dataminers have shared a few snippets ahead of time, including new cosmetic bundles and a special mode for gamers to experience. According to the latest news shared with the COD Community, the Haunting of Verdansk will make some significant changes to the map.

This will include bringing a Warzone Night Mode option to the Battle Royale experience, and may also mean zombies coming to the game. While zombies haven’t been officially shown by developers Infinity Ward, a few shots of a Night Mode were featured in the Season 6 trailer.

While Activision has remained coy on its plans, they have started to drop Easter eggs onto the map, including creepy laughs and other noises being heard in certain areas.

And with the new Halloween event’s scheduled release date getting closer, there’s a good chance of the big update news being revealed very soon.

Activision usually shares early notes via a blog post the day before a patch, meaning we could get some news in the next 24-hours. Gamers are expecting the Haunting of Verdansk Call of Duty Modern Warfare to begin on Tuesday, October 20. The timing will be a little different depending on what timzone you live in, meaning some gamers will get access earlier in their day. For COD fans in the UK, the next Call of Duty Modern Warfare update is expected to go live at around 6pm BST, although nothing official has been shared yet. For gamers in the United States, that would mean the Haunting in Warzone launching at 10am PDT.

By Modern Warfare standards this could be a large update, especially when you consider what new stuff could be added. Playlist changes are expected, with more cosmetic bundles heading to the Call of Duty Store, and Activision confirming several limited-time modes being released. Recent rumours suggest a Night Mode will be launching, as well as something connected to the undead appearing in Verdansk. This is expected to be available sometime between October 20 and November 3, when the Haunting event is scheduled to end. According to the latest rumours, the new mode will make it possible to comeback as a zombie and have the chance to regain your life if you down another player. It will also be possible for players to buyback team mates in the normal fashion, although this all remains a rumour at this point. Here are a few other references made to Halloween content coming to Warzone during Season 6: “With Halloween approaching, the Store is set to stock up on a wide variety of blueprint and Operator bundles.

“Leading off the Season, expect the ‘Undead Forces’ Store bundle to bring a faithful, undead companion into the fray with a new Finishing Move, and a new Operator Bundle for Velikan that gives him an even more dark and foreboding set of armor. “Later in the Season, prepare for more Tracer Packs, an Operator pack that continues the gold-plated trend of flashy skins, and even a couple of Halloween surprises as the nights grow longer and the more twisted games begin.” “Grizzly End” Cargo Truck Skin: Strike terror and fear into your enemies with this Halloween inspired skin, exclusive to those who reach Tier 100 in the Battle Pass. “Vehicle Skins: Get a fresh, Halloween-inspired exterior for four different Warzone vehicles – the “Mutated” ATV, “Flight of Torment” Helicopter, “From the Deep” SUV and “Stained” Tac Rover skins – as part of the Season Six Battle Pass.”

First PS5 hands-on videos show off hardware and games, but no UI

Sony has invited a number of Japanese publications and YouTubers to get a closer look at the PlayStation 5. It’s the first time we’ve seen the PS5 hardware outside of leaked images from Taiwan’s National Communications Commission. A variety of publications have now published detailed hands-on images and videos of the PS5, providing a more realistic look at how big the console is and gameplay of titles like Astro’s Playroom and Godfall. 4gamer has published photos of the PS5 standing both vertically and horizontally, demonstrating how the stand works in either position to hold the console in place. Some photos also show how the PS5 will cool itself, and 4gamer notes that it wasn’t able to hear the fan inside the console or feel much heat exhausting from it during its limited time with the hardware.

Although these PS5 previews are clearly in a very limited environment, one of 4gamer’s photos does reveal a mysterious silver latch or bolt hidden inside the top-right section of the PS5. Sony has said PS5 owners will be able to expand storage with regular SSD drives in this new console, but we’ve yet to see how this will work in reality. This latch could be how you access the ability to expand PS5 storage, with it presumably allowing the side to be removed. There’s no other obvious way to slot an SSD into the PS5, but we’re still waiting on Sony to confirm how it will handle expandable storage. We’ve known for weeks that the PS5 is the biggest console in modern history, and Dengeki Online helps put that into perspective with a shot of the PS5 next to a large TV. It’s clear if you want the PS5 to sit vertically in a TV stand then you might need to clear some room, or use the console horizontally. The PS5 laying flat looks like it should fit into most TV stands. Most of the videos don’t show the PS5 in too much detail, as they’re largely focused on gameplay. One from Famitsu’s YouTube channel does offer a brief look at the hardware up close. Alongside the console itself, these Japanese publications and YouTubers also got a closer look at the new DualSense controller.

This new design includes haptic feedback (replacing the old rumble technology) and adaptive triggers that can adjust the resistance of the triggers for different gameplay effects. Sony has even included a microphone, alongside a USB-C. We’ve seen Sony demonstrate the PS5’s pack-in game, Astro’s Playroom, a number of times before, and the company has used it again during these hands-on videos to highlight the DualSense controller features. AV watch also reports that the confirm button on the PS5 will be X instead of O going forward, which means Japanese players are going to have to retrain their body’s muscle memory to get used to that significant change. There’s little else to report on the controller just yet, but 4gamer does provide a good look at the different colorful LEDs on the DualSense. None of the videos of publications were able to show the PlayStation 5 dashboard or UI elements, unfortunately. These remain a mystery, despite Sony teasing what appeared to be the boot experience or main PS5 dashboard all the way back in June. Sony has also promised a fully redesigned PS5 dashboard with “no pixel untouched.” We’re still waiting to see exactly what Sony does with the new PS5 UI, and hopefully we’ll get a glimpse at it before the November 12th launch date. Elsewhere there’s also a lot of gameplay of Astro’s Playroom, Godfall, and even Balan Wonderworld. We’ve also seen plenty of this game footage before, and none of the previews seem to dig too deep on SSD performance or load times for games. All three games look as smooth as you’d expect on the PS5, but it’s disappointing not to see more Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gameplay given that title looks like the perfect demonstration for the PS5’s speedy SSD. Either way, you can find the latest PS5 gameplay in the video below. These limited PS5 previews don’t answer all the questions we still have around the PS5, and we’re hoping Sony will start providing some answers soon. We’re still waiting to hear about the PS5 dashboard, how you use expandable storage in the console, and just how well Sony’s backward compatibility for PS4 games works on the new PS5. There’s still more than a month to go until the PS5 launch on November 12th, so Sony has plenty of time to reveal a lot more about its next-gen console. For now, these early previews have provided a closer much-needed look at the PS5.

Here’s what you need to run Cyberpunk 2077 on PC

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released in a few months, but ahead of its mid-November launch, developer CD Projekt Red unveiled the system requirements needed to run the PC version of the game, and shockingly, you don’t need to upgrade your computer to play the game.

The game’s recommended specs are not too heavy, requiring only an Intel Core i7-4790 or an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G processor, and either an Nvidia GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon R9 Fury graphics card. So if you have not upgraded your rig in a bit, you’ll likely still be able to run the game at 1080p. However, if you are looking to run the game at 1440p or 4K resolution or take advantage of the game’s technical features like ray tracing, you will need to upgrade to an RTX 20-series or RTX 30-series GPU. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on November 19th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you are buying it on console and plan to upgrade within the same console family, CD Projekt Red confirmed that PS5 and Xbox Series X / S owners will be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, too. The developer also promised a free next-gen upgrade at a later date.

Everything You Need To Know About Godfall

Godfall is an upcoming game that will be releasing on PlayStation 5 and PC. This will be a looter-slasher from Counterplay Games which have gathered a lot of buzz around itself. The audience reaction of the game was pretty good as the game had great character designs, trailer, and environment. This been on PlayStation 5 is good enough to see what’s in store for us in the game. The story of the game has been revealed which was said by Godfall creative director Keith Lee in an interview with PlayStation Lifestyle. He talked about the inspiration behind that made world of Godfall and how the story fits together. Godfall was inspired by novel series like The Stormlight Archive and Isaac Asimov’s Foundation franchise.

The premises of the game was revealed by Lee in the interview in which he said that the world are split up into the realms of Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Spirit. Players will be playing as one of the last remaining Knight’s Order who intent on stop the apocalypse and preserving the last vestiges of the world they live in. Furthermore, during an interview with GamesRadar, he also said that Godfall is a co-op looter-slasher experience which is set in a very serious and all new fantasy world that is filled with heroic knights and ancient magic. There are going to be multiple weapons and special suits that are called Valorplates which can be found throughout the disparate worlds, offering armor that can be found and equipped. Players can have different mods in them which will imbue the player with certain abilities or cast offensive spells.

As for the gameplay, it is easy to understand as in this game, players will be able to take control of a warrior who is so skilled that they can multiple weapons. Its been an action RPG game, there are numerous weapon types like swords, dual blades, polearms, Warhammer, and greatswords. The combat against enemies will be tough and players will have to learn their patterns otherwise it will be extremely tough. Moreover, players will have the ability to build up their character’s abilities as time passes. If you like to loot a lot then this is a game for you as it will be like Diablo or Borderlands in which you the players are given a lot of new gear constantly. It will be up to the players on how they will create their ideal character and weapons

Furthermore, there will be no microtransactions which mean players will have go complete the game in order to unlock the skins and other things. As said previously, there are many weapon types in the game each of which will be different in their own right. There are Longsword, Dual Blades, Polearm, Two-Handed Warhammer, Two-handed Greatsword, Shield, Valorplate and here is a detailed description of all of the weapons in Godfall:

• Dual Blades

These Blades are the fastest weapons in Godfall and is very effective against unarmoured and ‘soft’ enemies. Dual Blades don’t that much damage when compared to other weapons. It makes up for it with their speed and swiftness. There are heavy attacks which are called Blade Cyclone and there is an ability named Inner Focus that unleashes a lot of damage to numerous enemies in a short amount of time. Furthermore, there is a move called Mortal Coil, which turns these blades into a ‘pulling cable’ which will drags enemies towards the player.

• Longswords

Longswords are balanced weapons that do a great deal of damage with simple cooldowns without needing a lot of elaborate combo setups. This weapon will have different light attacks and a heavy attack finisher. The same thing can be said for its special abilities one of which is Spectral Flurry which is an uninterruptable attack that will do a lot of damage to a group of targets within its area of effect. The second one is the Spiral Technique which destroys enemies in a straight path with a powerful lunge. There is also a timing attack which when triggered will perform a Shield Uppercut on an opponent.

• Shields

Shields are present in the game as well which will be good for those that prefer a defensive playstyle. It will allow you to block attacks as well as parry them if you time it right. If this parry is performed, the counterattack will activate as the enemy is caught off guard which will be dealing bonus damage. Moreover, players will able to through the shield which upon hitting enemies, or anything will bounce back to them. This can be done by pressing the shield button at the right time and players perform a Wave Attack which will knock adversaries backward. By double-tapping the shield button to freeze your enemies which sounds extremely amazing.

• Valorplates

During an interview, the game’s director, Keith Lee said that as the player will play the game they will be able to craft Valorplates with individual traits that will be active or passive. In order to create these, players will have to need Valorplate cores as players will travel through the worlds of Aperion and there are a total of 12 Valorplates to collect, including the one players will get at the start. It will require many other resources, these resources will be dropped from enemies or situations you encounter, so get ready to go hunting.

There are different types of Valorplates like Balanced (hybrid) Valorplates to Specialised Valorplates and then Exotic Valorplates. Each of these will have a different function which includes improving the DPS output of a character or making them tanker for co-op purposes. Players will be able to determine what Archon ability players want. Archon is a charged version of players’ character which upon using will unleash a certain amount of damage to any enemy.

Godfall will have multiplayer, you will be able to play with random people as well as with your friends. Each party will have three people, however, and this means that if players want to play Godfall with a group of friends, they will have to keep it small. There is a confirmation on whether PS5 and PC players will be able to play together. But this is a thing which will depend on Sony as in the past they have allowed for some games to have cross-platform play. The pre-order for the game is available now and this was published by Gearbox recently. The game’s standard edition will cost $60. There is also an $80 Deluxe Edition which will include an unnamed expansion releasing in 2021. Players can also buy another one which is Ascended Edition for $90, which includes more exclusive cosmetic upgrades. Down below you can see the exact details on the pre-orders:

• Godfall preorder bonuses

If you preorder Godfall at the Epic Games Store, you’ll get the following in-game bonuses.

– Godfall Starter Pack: Set of Augments and Trinkets
– Chrome skins for three Valorplates
– Zer0’s longsword from Borderlands 3
– Yellow Valorplate skin for Typhon

• Standard ($60): Will comes with the base game and preorder bonuses

• Deluxe edition ($80): Will comes with the base game, preorder bonuses, and the first expansion

• Ascended edition ($90): Will comes with Deluxe edition content as well as red Valorplate skin, Gold Weapon Pack, Gold Shield, Gold Royal Banner, and Zodiac Knight Lobby Title

As of writing this, it is still unclear if PS5 users will get the same preorder bonuses. The exact release date for the game hasn’t been a revealed year but it slated to release in late 2020. The developers, Counterplay Games that are making the game aren’t new to it video game development. On their website, they say that the people that have worked on games like Ratchet & Clank series, Titanfall 2, God of War, Destiny 2, Diablo 3, Star Wars Battlefront, Overwatch, many others. This shows us that these developers are quite experienced in what they do and because of this there is high hope for Godfall. Counterplay Games’ first game was CCG similar to Hearthstone but played on a multi-square grid with creatures that actively traverse the board. It was praised for its easy to learn, many ways to master gameplay. It has a beautiful pixel art style and great mechanics, along with compelling lore because of which it quickly made a dedicated following and it has it that even to this day.

These people have worked on much amazing game and now will use it to bring the world of Godfall to us. It will be pretty interesting to see how this title will perform. Their main fortified is in the third person games which means that the game will be pretty good but don’t get your hopes too high because sometimes these games are pretty deceiving. This is it from us. What are your thoughts on Godfall? Are You excited for the game or interested in the game? Tell us your thoughts in the comment section down below.

The Overwatch League’s Grand Finals Championship Will Take Place Online

For the first time in its three-year history, there won’t be an arena full of screaming fans to go along with the Overwatch League’s Grand Finals. As the league has shifted online for 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic, it has had to reimagine what its championship tournament will look like. And today Blizzard provided some details on the upcoming playoff format. Essentially, at the conclusion of the regular season, all of the 20 teams will face off in a playoff-style tournament kicking off on September 3rd, with seeding based on how they performed during the year. The format will be similar to the tournament structure the league adopted midway through 2020, with two competitions: one for teams based in Asia and another for North America. The top two teams from each of those tournaments will then face off in a double-elimination competition, culminating in the championship match. (You can check out full details of the schedule on the league’s website.) Blizzard says the top two North American teams will fly to an unspecified location in Asia before the finals, with a few weeks off to accommodate for travel and logistical challenges.

The entire competition will still be done online, with players, coaches, broadcasters, and producers working remotely. At least, that’s the plan. “Any time we’re looking two or more months in the future, it’s impossible to predict,” Jon Spector, VP of Overwatch esports, tells The Verge. If traveling is out of the question come September, the plan is to crown two regional winners instead of one overall league champion. It’s not an ideal situation, Spector admits, but the league is trying to plan for every possibility. “It’s important that we have that backup plan available,” he says. Big esports championships thrive on spectacle; the League of Legends World Championships has become know for its elaborate musical acts, while OWL’s first two Grand Finals were celebrity-laden affairs that took place in sold-out arenas in Brooklyn and Philadelphia. That kind of energy is impossible to replicate online, but Spector says that the league is planning to do some things to make this year’s championship special — though what exactly that may look like remains to be seen. “We want to do everything we can to create an immersive entertainment experience for fans who can’t be with us,” Spector explains. He says the league will likely work with the top four teams to make sure their remote spaces are as broadcast-friendly as possible, which could potentially mean adding things like robotic cameras for more dynamic views of the players. OWL has also been looking at some of the creative ways traditional sports have dealt with stadiums devoid of fans for inspiration. All of that remains in flux as of now, however. "“We don’t want to take any unnecessary risks.”" The biggest concern, he says, is ensuring the safety of players and staff, which is part of the reason the finals won’t take place in a studio environment, despite the fact that several esports leagues in China and Korea have gone back to utilizing studio spaces as social distancing restrictions have lifted. “We don’t want to take any unnecessary risks,” says Spector. OWL’s sister league, the Call of Duty League, also announced its revamped playoff format yesterday, and it’s similar to the one being used for Overwatch. CDL playoffs will begin on August 3rd, with all 12 teams competing in a double elimination competition. The top four teams will then advance to the championship weekend, which will take place on August 29th and 30th. The playoffs come at a time when the CDL is riding high; Activision says that the league saw its highest peak viewership during the most recent tournament, with 115,000 viewers tuning in to watch Atlanta play Chicago.

World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands Live Stream Will Now Air July 8th

This morning, Blizzard revealed when they would finally hold the World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands live stream event after being postponed. Originally the event was going to happen in early June, but with the world in chaos over both COVID-19 and the ongoing fallout from the death of George Floyd, company reps decided to postpone the event until a later date. We now know the live stream will take place in two weeks on Wednesday, July 8th at 9am PDT.

The stream will feature Executive Producer John Hight and Game Director Ion Hazzikostas as they'll share more about the upcoming expansion and give us a look at some of the latest content currently in development. Here's what we know about the expansion so far. With a single act of destruction, Sylvanas Windrunner has ripped open the way to the afterlife. Azeroth's staunchest defenders have been dragged into all-consuming darkness.

An ancient force of death threatens to break its bonds and unravel reality. Hidden realms of wonder and horror await any who would pass to the other side. The Shadowlands is home to an entire realm of the departed; it is a world between worlds whose delicate balance preserves life and death itself. As one of Azeroth's greatest champions, you have been granted the power to cross over in body and soul. Now you must investigate a conspiracy to unmake the cosmos, and help Warcraft legends journey back… or fulfill their ultimate destiny. With any luck, this next event won't get postponed again, but as we've seen over the course of 2020, no one can predict the future. This will probably be the only information we get on World Of Warcraft: Shadowlands before we find out what Blizzard intends to do as a replacement to BlizzCon in November.

League Patch 10.13 notes: Syndra & Aphelios nerfs, AP Kog'Maw buffs, more

League of Legends Patch 10.13 is here, and we don't even need to tell you at this point: Syndra and Aphelios have been nerfed again. Those aren't the only changes though, with plenty more updates being shipped on June 24. League Patch 10.12 was a fairly hefty update, bringing with it a series of changes for the Rift elements, summoner spells, and dropping the long-awaited Volibear rework onto live servers for eager fans to get their hands on. This time around, Riot is mainly focusing on balancing some of the more powerful champs, as well as beefing up some under-performing picks. These include Kog’Maw, Rakan, Yuumi, and plenty more. Here are all the details on LoL Patch 10.13.

AP Kog’Maw gets some love in League Patch 10.13

For League players who have been grinding away at Riot’s MOBA for half a decade or more, it may still feel like Kog’Maw’s domination in the bot lane was only yesterday. “Protect the Kog” team comps reigned in pro games and ranked. Unfortunately, the wonder years of the bile-spitting Mouth of the Abyss are behind him; at least, until Riot drops new buffs for his ability power variant in LoL Patch 10.13. In the June 24 patch, Kog’Maw is set to get a big boost.

LoL devs are increasing Kog’s Caustic Spittle (Q) AP ratio from 50% to 70%, and tweaking his AP ratio for his ultimate Living Artillery (R) to 35%. This should return Kog’Maw to the bugs’ old days as an AP bot laner from 10.13.

Patch 10.13 rolls out champ select reporting & muting tests

Last month, Riot Games confirmed they were looking to take further action with players who “take game lobbies hostage” during champion select. These changes will be employed in the next patch, product lead Cody Germain revealed.

“We’re running a two-patch experiment (10.13 and 10.14) for champ select reporting and muting,” he said in a Riot dev post update. “We’ll start with NA and Korea around the time 10.13 launches, and expand our experiment scope as we go.”

Germain added players would know the live experiment had been enabled on their specific server during League Patch 10.13 due to a “one-time notification” that would appear in the champion select screen highlighting the new feature.

Here’s the full League Patch 10.13 notes, courtesy of Riot Games.
League of Legends Patch 10.13
CHAMPIONS
APHELIOS

Base attack damage growth decreased. Q Chakram reset removed for Epic Monsters; turret range indicators no longer visible in Spectator. R follow-up attack critical damage decreased.

Aphelios has not waned with the moons—instead, he’s been a persistent star in professional play. We’re toning down his overwhelming strength in objective control and his formidable contributions to fights from a safe distance in later stages of the game.

BASE STATS
ATTACK DAMAGE GROWTH 2.2 ⇒ 2
Q - CRESCENDUM, THE CHAKRAM
REMOVED CHAKRAM RESET No longer resets the duration of Chakram on Epic Monsters
SO CLOSE YET SO FAR Turret range indicators no longer show in Spectator mode
R - MOONLIGHT VIGIL
FOLLOW-UP ATTACK CRIT 50% bonus attack damage ⇒ 20% bonus attack damage
CASSIOPEIA

Base magic resist decreased.

Our snaky lady didn't lose quite as much as we'd have liked last patch, so we're walking (slithering?) back some changes. Bundled with the Conqueror changes, we’re hoping this follow-up will help Cass shed her skin.

BASE STATS
MAGIC RESIST 34 ⇒ 32
GNAR

E attack speed increased, attack speed duration increased.

Carefully nudging Mini Gnar in the right direction. We think his attack speed is a safe lever to bring up since he’s been struggling with a much wider range of fighter matchups

E - HOP
ATTACK SPEED 20/30/40/50/60% ⇒ 40/45/50/55/60%
ATTACK SPEED DURATION 3 seconds ⇒ 4 seconds
KALISTA

Base attack damage growth decreased.

Whether she's wreaking havoc in top lane or jumping around in her standard bot lane carry role, Kalista is an imposing force in pro play. We want this change to encourage players to rely more on her early power and will also take away some of her level scaling so she doesn’t gain as much from soaking up XP from side lanes.

BASE STATS
ATTACK DAMAGE GROWTH 4 ⇒ 3.5
KOG’MAW

Q damage ratio increased. R damage ratio increased.

Although his standard build has been doing well, AP Kog’Maw hasn’t been oozing much confidence recently. We’re bringing some enzymatic excitement for players to experiment with alternative builds around his AP.

Q - CAUSTIC SPITTLE
DAMAGE RATIO 0.5 ability power ⇒ 0.7 ability power
R - LIVING ARTILLERY
DAMAGE RATIO 0.25 ability power ⇒ 0.35 ability power
LUCIAN

Q ability range increased.

Even with the specific marksman buffs he received earlier, Lucian’s been in a weak spot in the bot lane, mainly due to the fact that he’s often outranged by his enemies. Buffing his ability range so that he can dash back to the path of vengeance.

Q - PIERCING LIGHT
ABILITY RANGE 900 ⇒ 1000
NOCTURNE

Bugfix on Umbra Blades cooldown. Passive now always procs against monsters.

Midturne, Topturne, Laneturne are all outpacing Junglturne in terms of effectiveness by a decent margin. We’re giving Nocturne more tools to clear out his camps quicker and hopefully bring his roles closer in power.

GENERAL
BUGFIX Fixed a bug where Umbra Blades' cooldown would always refund 1 second, instead of 1 or 2 seconds based on the target.
PASSIVE - UMBRA BLADES
UPDATED DOUBLE TROUBLE Basic attacks against enemy champions reduce Umbra Blades' cooldown by 2 seconds ⇒ Basic attacks against enemy champions and monsters reduce Umbra Blades’ cooldown by 2 seconds
NUNU

Q damage and healing ratio increased. R shield now includes AP ratio.

Just like with Kog’Maw, we’re throwing the boy and his yeti some ability power to empower their alternative builds. This way to adventure! (Willump noises)

Q - CONSUME
DAMAGE RATIO 0.5 ability power ⇒ 0.65 ability power
HEALING RATIO 0.7 ability power ⇒ 0.9 ability power
R - ABSOLUTE ZERO
SHIELD RATIO 0.3/0.4/0.5 bonus health ⇒ 0.3/0.4/0.5 bonus health, 1.5 ability power

ORNN

Passive health and mana items now retain previous health and mana percentages.

We’d like to make Ornn less of an easy blind pick in pro, so we’re knocking down his early item sustain to decrease his safety in lane.

PASSIVE - LIVING FORGE
BACK TO BASICS Health and mana items built in the field provide 100% of health and mana values ⇒ Health and mana items built in the field retain its previous health and mana percentage (returning to base still brings health and mana items back to full)
RAKAN

W base damage increased later.

With a W that packs a bit more punch, Rakan can use this to play a more aggressive game while majestically dancing it out.

W - GRAND ENTRANCE
BASE DAMAGE 70/120/170/220/270 ⇒ 70/125/180/235/290
RYZE

Base magic resist and attack damage increased.

Cautiously bringing up Ryze’s magic durability and damage so that he can rise up against his enemies in lane and get that last blast on pesky minions.

BASE STATS
MAGIC RESIST 34 ⇒ 36
ATTACK DAMAGE 56 ⇒ 58
SYNDRA

Q cost increased.

Following up from patch 10.11, we’re continuing to adjust Syndra’s power as we specifically target pro-facing changes. We're pulling out some sustained usage of Syndra's Q at early levels so she can't whittle down waves and champions as comfortably. Don't worry, though—the power is still hers to command.

Q - DARK SPHERE
COST 40/50/60/70/80 mana ⇒ 60/65/70/75/80 mana
VI

Q cooldown decreased later.

Vi has been struggling to keep up with other junglers, so we're punching up her… punch! We’re hoping this will enforce her position as a mobile disruptor.

Q - VAULT BREAKER
COOLDOWN 12/11/10/9/8 seconds ⇒ 12/10.5/9/7.5/6 seconds
YORICK

R range for Maiden of the Mist’s leash decreased.

Making it so the Maiden leashes more responsively when Yorick exits a fight. We suspect this will be a small amount of power that skews towards the upper echelons of play where Yorick is currently weak.

R - EULOGY OF THE ISLES
MAIDEN OF MIST LEASH RANGE 900 range at which Maiden returns to Yorick ⇒ 600 range at which Maiden returns to Yorick
YUUMI

E cost increased.

We have nothing but love for felines here, but this cat’s E costs are currently too easily solved with systemic mana increases. We’re afraid this chapter needs to be shut.

E - ZOOMIES
COST 100/115/130/145/160 mana ⇒ 40/45/50/55/60 mana (+15% max mana)
RUNES
CONQUEROR

We’re happy with Conqueror’s current standing: a Keystone players gravitate to for elongated fights and utility for healing and DPS. That being said, we’ve been seeing the rune bleed into other archetypes and overrule its peers like Electrocute. As a result, we wanted to fine-tune the rune in a modest way where it maintained its intended strengths, so we’re shaving off some power to open up Keystone selection for a number of champions.

MAX STACKS 10 ⇒ 12
ADAPTIVE FORCE PER STACK 2-5 (levels 1-18) ⇒ 1.7-4.2 (levels 1-18)
GUARDIAN

Guardian is overperforming after its recent buffs to consistency. Bringing the base shield value down back to before it was buffed.

SHIELD 80-200 ⇒ 70-150
ITEMS
DEATH’S DANCE

Base post-mitigation damage storing decreased for ranged champions.

Death's Dance has been overperforming on ranged champions, although we think its utility as a defensive measure should still be within reach. Looking to tone down the effect on ranged champions to open up builds while still leaving the item as a viable option.

BASE STATS
POST-MITIGATION DAMAGE STORING 20% for ranged champions ⇒ 10% for ranged champions
CHAMP SELECT REPORT & MUTE TESTING

During patches 10.13 and 10.14, we're testing two new features to address game-ruining behavior in Champ Select. North America and Korea are up first, with other regions joining later during the test window. We've got an article explaining how these features work, but here's the quick version:

Champ Select muting blocks messages from the muted player in Champ Select and the mute carries over in-game.
For now, Champ Select reporting is only in place to collect data. After the experiment ends, we'll use that data to plan out further investment in this type of penalty system.

BUGFIXES/QOL CHANGES

Updated the names of Gangster Twitch, Mafia Jinx, Mafia Graves, and Mafia Miss Fortune to Crime City Twitch, Crime City Jinx, Crime City Graves, and Crime City Miss Fortune
Miss Fortune's Q - Double Up now properly applies all on-hit effects like Press the Attack
Miss Fortune's Q - Double Up now properly grants 2 stacks of Conqueror for her primary target and none for the secondary target regardless of whether Passive - Love Tap is applied or not
Glacial Augment’s tooltip no longer references targets hit by Energized-empowered attacks
Fixed a bug where Qiyana's Q - Elemental Wrath would not damage its target if Qiyana died before the ability landed
Sylas no longer permanently gains health and increases in model size from successful kills with a stolen R - Feast from an enemy Cho'Gath
Urgot's R - Fear Beyond Death's execute indicator no longer appears on enemies' health bars while the ability is on cooldown
Zoe's E - Sleepy Trouble Bubble now properly applies its debuff on Baron regardless of where she casts it from
Kai'Sa's W - Void Seeker now properly applies stacks of Passive - Second Skin on Baron regardless of where she casts it from
When attempting to place a fourth ward on the map, the mini-map now properly indicates which of the first three wards will be replaced
Yorick's Mist Walkers, Zyra's plants, and Shaco's Jack-In-The-Boxes are able to properly activate Manaflow Band
Displacement effects like stuns, charms, etc. on Feared champions will no longer expire along with the Fear debuff when it times out
Malphite's W - Thunderclap no longer reduces the amount of Hail of Blades stacks
Nautilus' W - Titan's Wrath shield VFX no longer persists in the place where Nautilus enters Fog of War
Sion's W - Soul Furnace tooltip now properly indicates that its passive grants 4 maximum health when activated
Fiddlesticks' E - Reap tooltip now properly contains information about increasing mana cost
Damaging with Jax’s Q - Leap Strike followed by two basic attacks will now properly activate Phase Rush and Electrocute
Twitch's R - Spray and Pray empowered attacks now properly deal damage to the Nexus and enemy inhibitors regardless of range or angle
Umbral Glaive now properly deals extra damage to revealed traps
Caitlyn's W - Yordle Snap Trap properly empowers only one basic attack
Multi-attacks from Runaan's Hurricane's unique passive, Wind's Fury, properly give the holder 1 stack of Conqueror instead of a stack per enemy hit
Guinsoo's Rageblade's unique passive, Guinsoo's Rage, will not trigger on the target when the holder's basic attack is blocked or destroyed
Fixed a bug where the champion details page didn’t close automatically when renavigating to the game select screen
Enhanced data flows on the honor screen to provide better responsiveness

PlayStation Plus: June 2020 Free PS4 Games Available

Breaking from longstanding tradition, the next round of PlayStation Plus freebies began before the new month even arrived. PS4 users can currently claim June's free games, Call of Duty: WWII and Star Wars Battlefront II. This is one of the strongest free games lineups we've seen this year.

Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: WWII released in 2017 and brought the series back to its original World War II-era setting for the first time since World at War in 2008. Call of Duty: WWII is particularly known for having a strong single-player campaign, which clocks in around six hours. The online servers are still live, and while they aren't extremely active, you can expect the player count to tick up since far more people will have access to it on PS4. In addition to the campaign and traditional multiplayer playlists, WWII also has a fun narrative-focused War mode with unique maps and lengthy attack/defend objectives. The strong package earned the first-person shooter a 9/10 in our Call of Duty: WWII review: "Ultimately, if every shooter set in the European Theater of World War II is measured by how it depicts its D-Day landing--assuming it has such a mission--Call of Duty: WWII emphatically succeeds in its impactful designs and delivery. The sensation of riding the troop carrier as it approached the beach filled me with depression more than dread, knowing I'd survive eventually while many of my surrounding brothers in arms wouldn't. While not equally emotional, this battle's reinterpretation in War mode proves to be a highlight in a superb suite of competitive modes," we wrote. If you're looking to jump in, check out our Call of Duty: WWII tips and tricks roundup for all of our guides. Meanwhile, Star Wars Battlefront II has evolved to become a fairly solid multiplayer experience since launching back in 2017. It earned a 6/10 in GameSpot's Star Wars Battlefront II review. EA has offered consistent support since release, listening to fan feedback along the way. The game recently received its last major update, so if you're diving in for the first time, you'll experience Battlefront II in its final form. Battlefront II has a fun, if a tad underwhelming, campaign and a suite of multiplayer modes to enjoy online with friends.

Call of Duty: WWII and Battlefront II will be free through July 6. For more freebies, see our updated roundup of all the free games you can claim across PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile.
June 2020 PS Plus Free Games

Call of Duty: WWII: Available May 26 to July 7
Star Wars Battlefront II: Available June 2 to July 7

The Outer Worlds Gets a Stylish Launch Trailer

The release of Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds is coming soon with the game’s launch trailer released on Friday to usher in its arrival. A stylish trailer full of eccentric characters, weapons, and creatures previews the release of the game that’s scheduled to be out on October 25th. The trailer also begs the questions of what kinds of characters players will create with the normal options of assassin and brawler possible in The Outer Worlds as well as moral roles like being a hero or a villain. Obsidian’s launch trailer for the game can be seen above with new action scenes and glimpses reminiscent of the developer’s past embedded in it. This trailer channels the Fallout comparisons those looking forward to this game have invoked, particularly when comparing it to Obsidian’s Fallout New Vegas. We see parts of the game’s futuristic locations found in cities and vibrant environments along with oddities like waiter robots and moon men.

One of the most appealing parts of the game is seen throughout the trailer as well. Like any good RPG, players will have the option to build characters in diverse ways. It’s also going to task players with deciding what end of the moral spectrum they want to fall on whether that means they play as a hero or a villain or somewhere in between. Halycon is the place where players will make these sorts of decisions with that system being the setting The Outer Worlds is based in. The Outer Worlds’ story and setting are dripping with corporate influences from the in-game companies that built the colonies spread out throughout different planets in the Halycon system. “Do you dream of working on the frontier of space? Can you pass a basic aptitude test?” an intro to Halycon from Obsidian read when shared previously. “Then Halcyon is the place for you! Prosperity and adventure awaits on Terra 2, Monarch, and other exciting locations across the Halcyon colony. The character you decide to become will determine how your story on the Halcyon colony unfolds in The Outer Worlds.” To give a better idea of how all this will look in action, you can watch the first 20 minutes of the game ahead of its release.

Everything You Need To Know About LoL Mobile

Months after rumors of a League of Legends mobile game surfaced, Riot Games made it official during its ten year anniversary event. However, League of Legends: Wild Rift is an entirely new game, rather than just a mobile port of the world’s most popular game.

So what is this new mobile MOBA? Keep reading for everything you need to know about League of Legends: Wild Rift!

League of Legends: Wild Rift is a new mobile reimagining of the world’s most popular game, League of Legends. Riot Games has completely rebuilt Summoners Rift for mobile devices, and redesigned many of the game’s most popular champions and skins.

Gameplay is still 5v5 MOBA action, but with a unique mobile spin. It’s Riot Games’ first excursion into the mobile space, but given the company’s ties to mobile gaming powerhouse Tencent Gaming, expect a level of polish greater than its competitors on mobile platforms.
How much does it cost?

Like the game it’s based on, Wild Rift will be completely free-to-play, with in-app purchases for skins and other cosmetic content.

What is the League of Legends: Wild Rift release date?

The League of Legends: Wild Rift alpha and beta will begin later this year, starting in China. In 2020 the game will begin to release region by region, with a full global rollout on mobile planned before the end of the year. The console edition will come some time after that.

You can pre-register now on the Google Play Store, or on the official website.

How do you play Wild Rift?

Wild Rift features the same ability system as LoL PC, but with a mobile control layout. Like many other mobile MOBA titles, this means a dual control stick scheme, with the left stick for moving your character and the right stick for aiming your abilities.

Many champion skills have been adjusted to be easier to control on touch screens. For example, Ashe’s ultimate Enchanted Crystal Arrow can be aimed, rather than flying in a straight line. Long range skill shots also zoom out the camera to make them easier to land on off-screen enemies.

As a whole, gameplay has also been accelerated to accommodate mobile play. Instead of the 25-50 minute matches found in LoL PC, Wild Rift will have 15-18 minutes matches. It’s possible that ARAM-style game modes will further reduce this, as well.
What champions are available at launch?

At launch, 40 champions will be available in Wild Rift. These include most classic champions like Annie, Malphite, and Nasus, as well as (relatively) later releases like Yasuo and Camille. Every champ has been completely redesigned and rebuilt from scratch, so not all current skins will be available at launch.

Is League of Legends: Wild Rift cross-platform?

League of Legends: Wild Rift will be available for mobile and consoles, but cross-play will not be offered. Cross-play with League of Legends PC is also out of the question, as they are completely separate games.

However, certain events will cross over between the two games, and cross-play may be offered in the future between mobile and consoles.

What phones are compatible with Wild Rift?

Riot Games has committed to making its keystone mobile title playable on a wide variety of devices. For Android, this means devices roughly equivalent to the Samsung A7, or devices with the following specs or higher: 1GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU. On iOS, it should run on anything newer than the iPhone 5s.

If this holds true, virtually any device released within the last five years will be able to play Wild Rift.

Will progress and champions from League PC transfer to Wild Rift?

No. Although you can connect the two accounts, progress in the two games is separate. However, veteran League of Legends players can earn some special rewards for the years they’ve spent playing the game. Details are still pending on what those rewards actually are.
