Jhin Arcane Season 2 theory

Arcane fans are buzzing with theories suggesting that the League of Legends champion Jhin made an appearance in Season 2 of the show. But how credible are these theories? Here’s everything you need to know.

The Return of Arcane

After a three-year wait, the second and final season of Arcane premiered on Netflix in November, concluding the arcs of beloved characters like Jinx, Vi, Jayce, and Viktor. However, this season is just the beginning, setting the stage for the ongoing development of a new cinematic universe for League of Legends.

Arcane Season 2 is filled with Easter eggs and callbacks to previous episodes, featuring subtle references to well-known LoL villains and introducing new characters. Fans are meticulously combing through each frame to uncover hidden messages and connections.

Jhin Arcane Season 2 theory

The Jhin Theory

Among the many fan theories circulating online, one particularly controversial claim suggests that Jhin, a fan-favorite champion from League of Legends, was subtly introduced in Arcane Season 2.

Who is Jhin?

Jhin is an antihero who embodies the darker side of the League of Legends universe. He perceives murder as an art form and spent a significant portion of his life imprisoned in Ionia before being liberated by the region's council.

In the lore, Jhin serves as an assassin for Ionia's council, driven by his passion for violence and his past experiences. He has gained considerable popularity in the game, wielding his hand cannon, Whisper, which inflicts significant damage and is imbued with dark magic that executes enemies. Jhin falls into the Markman/Mage category within League of Legends.

The Arcane Season 2 Fan Theory Explored

While Jhin is not explicitly named or shown in Arcane Season 2, fans have speculated about his presence. The most talked-about theory suggests that Jhin's introduction was subtle and unexpected.

In Act 3 of Arcane Season 2, Caitlyn, Vi, and their allies recruit various soldiers to combat Ambessa and Viktor. One character, who remains unnamed in the credits, bears a striking resemblance to Jhin, according to a now-deleted post from a user on X/Twitter. The post described him as “an introvert, aesthetic, plays the piano before going to war; his role was to be a sniper, and he did it flawlessly.” This post quickly went viral, garnering over 1.8 million views and 60,000 likes within a day.

Another Reddit discussion highlighted key moments that support this theory. In Season 2, Episode 8, a piano piece plays while Jayce delivers a stirring speech to the citizens of Piltover, rallying them to join the fight. As the music concludes, the mysterious piano player is revealed to be a young man speculated to be Jhin. Notably, the piano featured in this scene resembles the one from the 2019 League of Legends cinematic associated with Jhin.

In Episode 9, this character has a significant moment, teaming up with Vi to destroy Viktor's cocoon. They succeed only after the fourth shot, echoing Jhin's signature ability, where his fourth bullet typically delivers the final blow.

Skepticism Surrounding the Theory

Despite the compelling arguments for this theory, not everyone is convinced. Popular League of Legends streamer Necrit94 shared the aforementioned post, questioning the authenticity of the 60,000 likes it received, implying they might be bots. Others have criticized the theory, suggesting that the character's actions do not align with Jhin's established persona.

One user remarked, “People are reaching hard,” while another pointed out, “No way Jhin would voluntarily draft himself to protect a city. If anything, he would be joining the Glorious Evolved, mesmerized by their haunting beauty.”

Looking Ahead

Whether this mysterious character is indeed Jhin remains a topic of debate. However, with three new Arcane shows currently in production, each set to explore different regions of the League of Legends universe, there may be future opportunities for Jhin to make an appearance.

Netflix Releases Trailer for New Superhero Film Thunder Force

Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer are unlikely superhero best friends in Netflix’s new film Thunder Force. Netflix has officially released the trailer for the superhero film, which follows two best friends as they acquire a new set of superpowers. The superhero comedy is directed by Ben Falcone, McCarthy’s husband who also worked with her on projects such as Life of the Party and HBO Max‘s Superintelligence.

With Thunder Force, Falcone is expected to poke fun at some of the traditional comic book superhero tropes while promising to deliver good-hearted laughs. The trailer sees McCarthy’s character, Lydia reunites with her best friend, Emily played by Spencer. Lydia accidentally injects herself with a super strength formula, giving rise to the first real-life superhero team. Thunder Force is amongst one of 71 original Netflix films planning to release this year. Netflix enthusiasts can expect other films to debut in April such as South Korean drama, Night in Paradise, an Amanda Seyfried-led horror film, Things heard and Seen and Japanese psychological thriller, Ride or Die. The film is set to make its streaming debut on April 9.

Android 10 comes to the Nintendo Switch

The same people who originally brought Android to the Nintendo Switch, the Switchroot team, are back with an Android 10 update, according to XDA-Developers. While the mod is only available for certain Switch models, it allows users who install it to run apps from the Google Play Store, like games, emulators, and streaming services like Netflix and Twitch.

The update also brings some more polish to the mod, letting the Joy-Con sticks work as proper analog sticks instead of eight-way D-pads, deep sleep support that the devs say “can last for weeks,” over-the-air updates, and better Wi-Fi support that promises fewer disconnections.

Of course, the real reason for adding Android to a Switch is so you can play games that aren’t Switch games, likes the ones made playable by the Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and PSP emulators on the Play Store. You can see how those perform on the Switch in the video below. Of course, you can also get other Play Store games like Genshin Impact or apps like Spotify. But you’re also not giving up the ability to play Switch games, as Android is installed on a microSD card instead of being flashed to the console itself.

It’s worth noting that Android on the Switch is extraordinarily unofficial. The LineageOS team isn’t officially supporting the port, and it’s more or less a modified build of the OS that was meant for Nvidia’s Shield TV. The exploit to get Android running also only works on Switches that came out before Nintendo’s chipset and battery upgrades, which completely excludes the Switch Lite. Even if you own one of the moddable Switches, which you can check with an online tool, some of the guides on how to get into the Android bootloader say it’s possible to brick your Switch if you make a mistake. Extreme caution is advised.

There are also caveats, like the fact that the games built for the Nvidia Shield don't work, according to the XDA forum post that acts as a guide on how to install the mod. However, the list of bummers is way smaller than it was last time when the version of Android was LineageOS 15.1, which was based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The new version is based on LineageOS 17.1, which is a build of Android 10.

It’s nice to see this Switch mod get some love and become improved over the years. The changelog below includes a solid number of updates, so it’s worth checking out if you’re running a previous version.

    * Android 10 based on Lineage 17.1
    * OTA updates.
    * Full Joy-Con and Pro Controller support with analog sticks and rails.
    * Hori Joy-Con support.
    * Deep sleep that can last for weeks.

'The Witcher' Offers First Look at Main Characters in Season Two

Ahead of its highly-anticipated release for season two, Netflix has now offered fans a first look at the main characters for The Witcher, taking to Twitter to share new images as well as what seems to be a prophetic verse for each of them. As seen in the posts, Henry Cavill‘s Geralt of Rivia appears to be wearing a new set of more form-fitting armor, though also clad in black with his iconic pendant around his neck. Freya Allan’s Ciri can be seen picking up a sword, with her verse saying she’s “preparing to fight,” while Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer appears to be dealing with the aftermath of the Battle of Sodden, injured and distressed.
The official synopsis for the second season reads: “Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.” There’s currently no official release date for The Witcher season two on Netflix, so fans of the series should stay tuned for more updates to come. Elsewhere in entertainment, Netflix has announced a new Godzilla anime series.

Avatar Creators Exit Netflix Live-Action Series Adaptation

Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, co-creators of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of their original animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, have exited the project. “Many of you have been asking me for updates about the Avatar live-action Netflix series,” DiMartino wrote in an open letter to fans on his website Wednesday. “I can finally tell you that I am no longer involved with the project. In June of this year, after two years of development work, Bryan Konietzko and I made the difficult decision to leave the production.” Though Netflix said it “was committed to honoring our vision for this retelling and to supporting us on creating the series,” DiMartino wrote, “Unfortunately, things did not go as we had hoped.” DiMartino continued, “Look, things happen. Productions are challenging. Unforeseen events arise. Plans have to change. And when those things have happened at other points during my career, I try to be like an Air Nomad and adapt.

I do my best to go with the flow, no matter what obstacle is put in my way. But even an Air Nomad knows when it’s time to cut their losses and move on.” “And who knows? Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar has the potential to be good,” he wrote. “It might turn out to be a show many of you end up enjoying. But what I can be certain about is that whatever version ends up on-screen, it will not be what Bryan and I had envisioned or intended to make.” He also made clear, that while he’s exiting the project, it does not mean the end of his involvement in the Avatar universe. “These stories and characters are important to me and the renewed interest and excitement in Avatar and Korra has been inspiring to see,” DiMartino wrote. There had been creative differences on how best to adapt the animated series into the live action series between DiMartino and Konietzko and Netflix and the other creatives throughout the development process over the past two years, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The project is still moving forward with Nickelodeon, Dan Lin and Lin’s Rideback still attached, we hear. “We have complete respect and admiration for Michael and Bryan and the story that they created in the Avatar animated series,” a Netflix spokesperson said in a statement. “Although they have chosen to depart the live action project, we are confident in the creative team and their adaptation.” Netflix ordered the live-action series adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender in 2018. DiMartino and Konietzko’s original Avatar: The Last Airbender aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon from February 2005-July 2008, winning an Emmy in 2017 and a Peabody Award among other honors. The series followed main protagonist Aang and his friends, who must save the world by defeating Fire Lord Ozai and ending the destructive war with the Fire Nation. A total of 61 episodes aired.

The Witcher: Blood Origin New Live-action Spinoff

The fantasy realm of The Witcher is about to get even bigger. Today, Netflix announced a six-part live-action spinoff of its massively popular series, one that delves into a very different time period. Called The Witcher: Blood Origin, the series will take place “1200 years before Geralt of Rivia” and explore a period when “the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged into one, and the first Witcher came to be.” It’s being helmed by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, showrunner on the main Witcher series, and screenwriter Declan de Barra.

It should be no surprise that Netflix is looking to capitalize on Geralt’s popularity. The first season of the show, which debuted last year, was the most popular in the streaming network’s history. Blood Origin also isn’t the first announced spinoff: in January, Netflix announced The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, an anime take on the franchise. There’s no word yet on when Blood Origin will debut. With Blood Origin being joined by The Witcher season 2 and an animated movie adventure starring Vesemir, it's clear that the world of The Witcher is only just getting started. If you haven't already, it might be time to start tossing coins at Netflix. The synopsis reads: "Set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time - the origin of the very first Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal 'conjunction of the spheres,' when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one." Teasing Blood Origin's story, de Barra said, “A question has been burning in my mind ever since I first read The Witcher books - What was the Elven world really like before the cataclysmic arrival of the humans? I've always been fascinated by the rise and fall of civilizations, how science, discovery, and culture flourish right before that fall... The Witcher: Blood Origin will tell the tale of the Elven civilization before its fall, and most importantly reveal the forgotten history of the very first Witcher” Lauren Schmidt Hissrich added: “It’s an exciting challenge to explore and expand The Witcher universe created by [author] Andrzej Sapkowski, and we can’t wait to introduce fans to new characters and an original story that will enrich our magical, mythical world even more.” Sapkowski was also on hand to offer a quote on the series, saying: “It is exciting that the world of Witcher - as planned in the very beginning - is expanding. I hope it will bring more fans to the world of my books.”

Dark Season 3 Final Season Expected Release Date

When Dark first debuted in 2017, Netflix’s time-travel saga was often compared to Stranger Things, and understandably so. Both shows begin with the disappearance of a boy, and both are also set in a fictional small town where plenty of weird things happen. But that's where the similarities end. Where Stranger Things is a coming-of-age story wrapped in '80s nostalgia and monster drama, the central mystery in Dark is, well, much darker and much more complicated too. Across three seasons, the show has combined Greek tragedy-style family drama with a head-scratching, time-hopping epic, along with lots of Biblical and mythological references too. From the performances and the music to the stunning visuals, there's a lot to recommend, but what ultimately makes Dark so addictive is the central mystery itself, along with all the shocking twists and turns that come with it.

This is the kind of sci-fi show that wants you to find X only with an equation of A and B. And while doing so, it presents you a reality where someone’s daughter can also be their own mother. Bonkers, right? Well, if you thought that what happened in season two was already too much to handle, you won’t be ready for what’s to come in the final chapter. Check out this season two recap in case you need to refresh your memory and then join us as we help you make sense of how this story concludes. Who is Eva? And what's her deal? At the end of season two, Martha was shot to death by Adam, setting Jonas on the path to eventually become Adam. But then out of nowhere, another version of Martha arrived and whisked Jonas away to a parallel world with some golden Poké ball. Right before she leaves, this Martha tells Jonas that he needs to prevent the apocalypse and break the cycle so that both versions of Winden along with its people can live. But of course, things are not that easy, even for Jonas who has seen almost every part of the cycle. Not only does he have to deal with a new version of Winden, but he also has to face a powerful new force in the form of Eva, which happens to be the older Martha who's in charge of making sure everything in this parallel universe happens exactly the way it’s supposed to. The problem that Jonas has to face here, however, is not that different than the one he tries to solve back in his own world.

Just like how Adam manipulates Jonas and Noah in his world, Eva only uses Jonas and the younger Martha as pawns in a much bigger play. Her goal? She wants to preserve the knot and makes sure that the time loop keeps happening while Adam wants to do the opposite; to sever the knot and break the cycle so that he could destroy both of these worlds and create a new one where time does not exist. But there’s a real reason why Eva wants to maintain the time loop, and it’s all explained in the season’s fourth episode 'The Origin'. During his visit to this version of Winden, Jonas has sex with Martha. And then Martha is impregnated with a baby whom Eva and Adam refer to as "the origin", the beginning of everything that connects these two worlds in the same time loop. Adam wants to kill this version of Martha and destroy the baby in an attempt to end the cycle once and for all. Eva, on the other hand, wants the baby alive. That’s why she makes sure everything in both worlds falls into place, ensuring that the apocalypse happens over and over again, so her baby is able to survive. For the majority of this final chapter, the battle between Adam and Eva becomes the focus of the story. But the show never reduces this to just a story of good vs evil. Adam and Eva are just two flawed, if egotistical people who battle each other in the name of love – one for her son, and the other for everyone that he cares about. Aside from free will and determinism, love and loss have always been the two biggest themes explored in Dark. And through this conflict between Eva and Martha, the show manages to drill that theme home even deeper, showing us the extreme lengths people will go to save their loved ones. Claudia, the unsung hero. While Adam and Eva are busy fighting each other, Claudia Tiedemann, otherwise known as the White Devil, emerges as the unsung hero of the season. Not only does she manage to distance herself from both Adam and Eva, she also learns how to break the cycle and end the time loop once and for all. And this all begins when Claudia realizes that she’s been manipulated by Eva in the show’s brilliant penultimate episode, 'Between the Time'. Throughout the first two seasons, Claudia’s waged war against Adam. And early on this season, it’s revealed that the reason why she and Adam are on different sides is that Eva promises Claudia she will save Regina and everyone in Winden from the apocalypse. Then one day, Claudia remembers that her older self once said, "If everything goes right, Regina will live," which hasn’t been the case in all the time she’s helping Eva preserve the knot. That’s when she realises that Eva’s been playing her. In an attempt to break the time loop, Claudia A kills Claudia B who’s been guiding her all this time, then assumes her identity to infiltrate the universe where Eva comes from. It’s at this point where Claudia finally learns that minutes before the apocalypse, there’s a fraction of seconds where time stands still. This allows everyone to break free from the loop, thereby creating two overlapping realities in the same universe. While Adam doesn’t know anything about this, Eva’s utilises this knowledge to send one Martha into one direction and another one to a different path. Claudia takes advantage of this moment and does the same thing to Eva, sending a middle-aged version of her into two different journeys: one leads to a path where she’ll end up getting killed by Noah, and another one to where she is now. Claudia also realises that these two worlds aren’t supposed to exist in the first place, and it’s actually a mistake created by the clock-master HG Tannhaus in the original world. When he tried to invent the first time-traveling apparatus, he ended up splitting the world into three. Hence, the triquetra — the original universe, Eva’s, and Adam’s. How season three concludes The only way to destroy the time loop is to prevent Tannhaus from creating the apparatus in the first place, which is triggered by the death of his son, his daughter-in-law, and his granddaughter Charlotte in a car crash. Claudia explains this to Adam so he can guide Jonas and Martha into the original world and prevent that car crash from happening. Jonas and Martha head into the original universe via the cave's passageway to complete their final mission. But here comes the catch: if they prevent the car crash and the creation of the time-traveling apparatus, all who are born out of the time loop will not exist in the original world. That includes both of them, Charlotte, Noah, and plenty of others, which of course, is a big sacrifice. Unfortunately, that's also the only way they can save their loved ones from suffering inside the time loop, including their mothers, Hannah and Katharina. In the end, Jonas and Martha choose the "right" option, preventing the car crash which would’ve inspired Tannhaus to invent the time-traveling apparatus. Because of this, they and all the people that are part of the knots slowly vanish from the world in a particularly heart-wrenching scene. But that’s not the end, exactly. Before the credits roll, a pregnant Hannah — who’s married to Wöller in the original world has dinner with Katharina, Peter Doppler, Regina, and Benni. Together, they all talk about déjà vu, and then when Katharina asks Hannah what her baby’s name will be, she says, "I think Jonas is a beautiful name." It’s hard to imagine a better way to conclude this epic saga. Dark may begin as an intricate show about time-travel and loss, but it ends as something completely different: a bittersweet love story and an emotional look into human nature. Of course, it’s sad there won’t be any more episodes, but just as how Dark reminds us in these final moments, all beautiful things must eventually come to an end. Dark seasons one, two, and three are all available on Netflix now.
