Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 Are Playable in the New Tesla Model S

CEO Of Space X Elon Musk asked fans on Twitter if they wanted to see The Witcher game available on Tesla (NASDAQGS:TSLA -2.14%) . With the newly refurbished Model S, fans might just see this dream become a reality. The latest Model S update boasts a 10-teraflop gaming computer that supposedly “enables in-car gaming on-par with today’s newest consoles.” Every Model S will also come with “wireless controller compatibility that allows gaming available from any seat.” The interior redesign is the Model S’s first major update since its 2012 debut. Similar to the Model 3 and Model Y, the center screen commands attention at 17-inches while rear-seat passengers get an 8-inch screen that offers the same gaming functions as the main screen.

With its main screen, Tesla promises “2200×1300 resolution, ultra-bright colors with exceptional responsiveness and left-right tilt”, further claiming that “the new center display is an ideal touchscreen for entertainment and gaming anywhere.” To ensure that passengers can enjoy Tesla not only for its automotive capabilities but as an alternative gaming den, the interior features includes three-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats all around, and more sculpted rear seats, and a new fold-down armrest with cupholders. Its 22-speaker audio system, ambient lighting, and glass roof add to the comfortable gaming atmosphere inside the Model S. Though the interiors appear to steal the show, the refreshed Model S will see a new front bumper, new 19- and 21-inch wheel designs, and a tweaked rear diffuser. Matching the Model Y exterior trim, the Model S is finished in black, however, the white color palette is still the only no-cost option. According to recent tweets from Elon Musk, both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 will be available to play on Tesla. Those interested can check out the claims for themselves on Tesla Model S.

Tesla Stock Rocketed Higher : Here's What Investors Should Know

Shares of Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) finally began trading on a split-adjusted basis Monday morning, completing a stock split that was announced on Aug. 11. The lower price represents a forward stock split in which shares split 5-for-1. Tesla stock opened the day trading at about $445 one-fifth of what the stock was trading at before the split. If the electric-car maker's stock split has grabbed your attention and you're now taking a closer look at the growth stock, here's a quick overview of important factors investors should keep in mind. First and foremost, investors should note that while Tesla shares are more affordable after the split, the split does not make the stock a more attractive investment than it was at its much higher pre-split price of $2,225. Why is this the case? Simply because both price and ownership in the company on a per-share basis were divided by five. Put another way, each Tesla share is now assigned only one-fifth of the ownership in the company that was allotted previously.

On the flip side, of course, a stock split doesn't make Tesla stock any worse of an investment either. A stock split is simply a nonfactor when it comes to making investment decisions and should have no impact on an investment thesis. Nevertheless, some investors may be more interested in Tesla stock now simply because shares have become more affordable. Some retail investors could have been in a position in which it was more difficult to spend $2,225 on a single share. Or perhaps there are other investors who have coincidently become more interested in Tesla stock recently. For those investors, let's take a quick look at the automaker and the catalysts that could help the stock over the long haul. First, there's Tesla's recent launch of its Model Y. Debuting in March, the Model Y is Tesla's second-most affordable vehicle yet. With a starting price of about $50,000, the new vehicle gives the automaker a smaller SUV that is much more affordable than its larger Model X SUV. Model X pricing comparatively starts at $80,000.

The automaker has big expectations for the Model Y, with management saying that it believes deliveries could eventually surpass those of the Model 3, which is Tesla's best-selling car by far. Specifically, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said he believes annual Model Y deliveries could eventually grow to 1.25 million. With total Tesla vehicle deliveries estimated to come in at about 500,000 this year, the Model Y has the potential to be a huge catalyst for Tesla. Second, there's Tesla's fast-growing energy business, which includes sales of energy storage and solar panels. While revenue from the segment only accounts for about 6% of total revenue today, Musk believes Tesla Energy will eventually rival its automotive business. Finally, Tesla hopes its vehicle software will eventually bring in far more revenue for the company. Management has indicated two ways it plans to improve monetization of the software. First, it will continue raising the price for its driver-assist technology as it improves (the company believes the software will eventually get to the point where Tesla can release an over-the-air update that makes its vehicles self-driving, helping it command a much higher price tag). Second, Tesla plans to eventually launch a ride-sharing network that will operate with self-driving Tesla vehicles. Despite these exciting potential catalysts for Tesla stock, investors should keep in mind the automaker's pricey valuation. Today, Tesla has a market capitalization of $426 billion even though trailing-12-month sales and net income are just $25.7 billion and $368 million. This means that investors have already priced in a wildly optimistic growth story for the company over the next decade. It's always possible, of course, that Tesla executes so well that even the rosy outlook priced into the stock today proves to be an underestimate of the company's potential. But investors should bear in mind the risks of the underperformance the stock could endure if investor expectations prove too optimistic.

SpaceX capsule and NASA Make History crew make first splashdown in 45 years

Two NASA astronauts are back on Earth after their space capsule splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Pensacola, Fla. The last time any NASA astronauts came home by splashing down was in 1975 and back then, they were in an Apollo space vehicle. This time, the astronauts were in a white, bell-shaped capsule owned by SpaceX. The success of their test flight, to the International Space Station and back, is a milestone for SpaceX, the first private company to send people to the outpost.

Astronauts Set To Return To Earth In First U.S. Splashdown In Decades Science Astronauts Set To Return To Earth In First U.S. Splashdown In Decades The company has been taking cargo to and from the station for years. This flight with people on board was the final test for SpaceX's crew system to be certified by NASA as "operational" for future astronaut missions. That means the U.S. once again has its own ability to put people in orbit and return them safely. Since retiring its space shuttles in 2011, NASA has had to buy seats for its astronauts on Russian spaceships. NASA can now rely on an American space taxi that takes off from Florida, and it's already assigning astronauts to future SpaceX missions including Megan McArthur, who happens to be married to one of the just-returned astronauts, Bob Behnken. Behnken and his crewmate Doug Hurley blasted off in their SpaceX Dragon capsule on May 30.

Their flight marked the first time people had been launched to orbit from U.S. soil in almost a decade, and they spent two months living and working on board the station. Then they climbed back into their SpaceX capsule, which they had dubbed "Endeavour," and undocked from the station on Saturday at 7:34 p.m. ET. They spent the night orbiting the Earth, and then a deorbit burn set their capsule on an irreversible course to re-enter the atmosphere. Video beamed down from the capsule showed the pair in their sleek black-and-white suits, monitoring their progress on large blue touch screens. Meanwhile, at SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorne, Calif., mission controllers wore masks at their workstations, due to COVID-19. SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk was there, watching the screens and speaking from time to time with SpaceX president Gwynne Shotwell. Off the coast of Pensacola, a recovery ship waited.

Though Hurricane Isaias was headed up the eastern coast of the state, mission managers had judged the weather in the Gulf of Mexico acceptable for the splashdown. The two astronauts' communications blacked out, as expected, for several nerve-wracking minutes during their fiery reentry. But then they were back in contact, as the first views of their capsule appeared on video. It dropped through the sky at around 400 miles per hour before two parachutes emerged to slow it down. New Spaceship Prepares To Blast Off And Make History Science New Spaceship Prepares To Blast Off And Make History Then, four white-and-reddish orange parachutes billowed out, slowing it down even more. The two astronauts braced for impact as their capsule, bearing scorch marks, hit the calm seas with a big splash. Two fast boats raced towards it, as its parachutes drifted down to the water. Cheering and clapping could be heard in the background as Mission Control told the astronauts, "welcome back to planet Earth and thanks for flying SpaceX." Going forward, NASA wants to rely on commercial space taxis for routine flights to and from the orbiting outpost — while the government agency focuses on developing vehicles for a return to the moon. And SpaceX has plans to take other paying customers to space, including on a trip around the moon and back.
