Weird time to suddenly have a brook flashback but who am i to complain, anything sh related is welcome, especially with the most mysterious pre-piracy past. It looks like brook is slowly connecting the dots that gunko may infact be a victim rather what he initially believes because of gunko suddenly freeing them and seeing the domi'd giants and seeing the erratic personality changes from demonic to her original self. Even nami outright states that she might've been controlled based on that.
Also, i tried to map and math out the timeline regarding brook and gunko, which based on what we know now, brook is apparently 13 years older than gunko/shuri since this flashback starts at age 20 for him while shuri was 7, which at present makes her 77 since brook is now 90. Meaning gunko was 39 during the god valley incident, and rocks invading the holy land 56 years ago at levely causing chaos which includes killing a marine admiral makes her 21 at the time. And brook was a pirate at the minimum at age 38 around now 52 years ago which would make gunko 25.
Which based on this information, whatever happened in the shuri incident besides the patricide, im gonna guess shuri would likely be in her mid to late teens between 15-19 while brook would be around 28-32. And brook finally becoming a pirate would likely be soon after the shuri incident of her committing patricide, meaning between 56 to 62 years ago would be when the incident of shuri killing her father occurred and when she became "gunko" serving imu.
