Jordan Brand is set to retro the OG Air Jordan 1 “Neutral Grey” for the first time ever in 2021. Arriving in a true-to-the-original Air Jordan 1 Hi ‘85 makeup a silhouette with a higher, flatter, more traditional collar than the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG the “Neutral Grey” is a sneaker that’s seen an immense explosion of popularity over recent years thanks to Instagram archive pages and Dior‘s duo of Air Jordan 1 “Air Dior” collaborations.
Uppers are built from a crisp white leather, with the low-key gray suede that gives the model its name appearing on midfoot Swooshes and collars alike. More gray details are present on the collar flap’s ball-and-wings logo and the fabric tongue tag’s Nike hit. White midsoles and gray outsoles round off the look. Apart from the OG build, the “Neutral Grey” also comes with an old-school Air Jordan hangtag, featuring a memorable photo of Michael Jordan soaring for a slam dunk. Of note is that the “Neutral Grey” is only the third time the Hi ‘85 cut has been used: it debuted as part of January’s “New Beginnings” pack alongside an Air Ship, then returned on a “Varsity Red” model in February. A release is reportedly slated for the first quarter of 2021, and the MSRP is likely to be $200 USD, though both of these points have yet to be confirmed by Nike Inc.
