I like how candelle is a strong swordsman and captain of the royal guards, i like her design as well. Oda really likes the "idol" type for his strong female characters a la amazon lily. Hope she doesn't have a "she needs saving" era like boa or shakky though and is simply just a badass character who kicks ass and probably teaches brook how to fight.

Thought 14 yr old shuri had nami face lmao. It's not uncommon for kids or teens to look up to or have a crush on their non-family guardians growing up but kinda sus dialog right there oda. Leuven looked like temu rocks. Kinda hoped we saw where brook's love for music came from but seems like he just always had it? Maybe compounded by loneliness living in a junkyard.

Obvious but most interesting thing would be how brook joined rumbar and how shuri ended up with imu. Hope this brook backstory is meaningful and has an overall connection with imu, even an indirect one. Not just using brook as a plot device to go back in time to showcase shuri/gunko's story since he's one of the only characters in present time that lived long enough to be there when it happened.
