Denjiro is the mysterious person who freed Law

In chapter 954, we see that Law has somehow escaped from his cell and has incapacitated Hawkins. After questioning him for a short while, Law leaves the prison cell but as he does so, you can see a shadowy figure behind Law. Law says “If letting me walk is part of your plot, then consider me a willing participant.” I’m more and more convinced that Denjiro/Kyoshiro is the one who freed Trafalgar Law.

I know people think it’s X-Drake, but X Drake’s mission in Wano whatever it is for the Marines far exceeds the Straw Hat Alliance. Him helping Law in front of Hawkins seems unlikely and too obvious. He joined Kaido for a very specific reason, long ago. I don’t think he’d jeopardise it for the Straw Hat Alliance. Orochi has some sort of informant that he trusts. Someone on the inside. Maybe he has Intel from Kyoshiro who is getting leaks from Shinobu if she knows his identity? Maybe Hiyori had enough info to fill Kyoshiro in and produce the report to Orochi as part of his plan? Maybe the person that set Law free was not X Drake, but it was Kyoshiro. Law and Kyoshiro came up with the ‘let Orochi think he has won’ plan. Kyoshiro could have told Law certain info without telling him he is a Scabbard.

Denjiro’s True Identity Finally Revealed!

Denjiro was a trickster and a swindler, taking pride in his abilities to manipulate people and get what he wants. In the past, he had extended knowledge regarding the politics of the Flower Capital Yakuza. He was a fan of Kozuki Oden even before becoming his retainer, and held him in high regard for his actions. After becoming Oden's retainer, he and the rest of the Scabbards worked to aid him in any way, until they were caught by Shimotsuki Yasuie during their attempt to steal his money. After being lectured by Yasuie, Denjiro and the rest of the Scabbards became noble and educated samurai. Denjiro, being the more knowledgeable one, was the one who would take some of the teaching onto himself.

In the latest chapter Denjiro is revealed to be both “Kyoshiro” and “Ushimitsu Kozo”, the mysterious thief in Wano Country who steals money from the rich and gives it to the poor. This is just incredible. Although Denjiro as Kyoshiro was a popular option, Oda was able to come up with a story of the transformation that no one even remotely thought about: he changed his face out of anger. How amazing is that? You can clearly see the hate and wrath in his eyes after he leaves the shrine. His rage over the years must be overwhelming because of the role he had to play. He truly is a tragic character. Lost his idol, his friends and had to serve a coward. This transformation ties into a part of Japanese folklore. In Japanese folklore if a person is consumed by great anger, rage or grief his soul will manifest into a Ikiryō a type of demon which will haunt and seek revenge. So Denjiro became so enraged that his soul metaphorically manifested to seek out punishment, and Kyoshiro is the manifestation. Denjiro still exists but he has been consumed by the rage in his soul. Lastly, I like the parallel between Orochi’s story and Denjiro. Orochi got his family killed and dishonored. He then lied about his identity and got around the Kozuki. He played the good guy whild doing evil stuff in the dark. At the end, he was handed the power. Denjiro got his “family” killed and dishonored. Out of anger, he changed his name and lied his way into the castle. He played the bad guy while doing good in the dark. As of now, Orochi entrusted the castle to him while he went to Kaido’s party. Denjiro could be the one to kill Orochi.

Analyzing all the Possible Traitors of Wano

I’m gonna try to keep this simple and straight to the point. Hopefully this helps those with doubts regarding the traitor.

Kinemon (cleared): as the leader of the Scabbards and probably Oden’s most trusted, he has had alone time with Momonosuke in order to find allies. If he was the traitor, he could’ve betrayed Momonosuke at any time and gave him up, yet he tries his absolute best to rally forces and fight against Kaido.

Kawamatsu (cleared): basically the same reason as Kinemon, he’s had lots of time with Hiyori. Even after capture, he didn’t tell Kaido and his men that Hiyori was alive and well.

Ashura Doji (cleared): in the latest chapter, we see that he was back-stabbed by the traitor (most likely).

Denjiro (cleared): he isn’t even in the present story and is no where to be seen, therefore he couldn’t have been the one to betray the Straw Hats and the alliance. Unless Oda pulls something random or completely out of the blue, then Denjiro will stay cleared for now.

Inuarashi and Nekomamushi (cleared): because of what happened on Zou. If they were working with Kaido and Orochi, they wouldn’t have fought with their lives on the line to save Raizo.

Kiku (cleared): some people believe its Kiku, but believe it or not she has a perfect alibi. Kinemon, Raizo, Kanjuro and Momonosuke left Wano to find Zou, but along the way they encountered a shipwreck and drifted apart. However, Jack went to Zou to specifically ask for Raizo and no one else. Kiku has no way to know they shipwrecked and that Raizo was the only one to have made it to Zou.

OTsuru (cleared): after her cameo in the latest chapter, some people are bringing her up in the conversation. She has the exact same alibi as Kiku mentioned above, plus the fact that she would have no idea where the Sunny was hidden. The location of the Sunny isn’t and shouldn’t be public knowledge among the alliance, which means only those in the Scabbards and Straw Hats themselves should know.

Shinobu (cleared): pretty self-explanatory after the latest chapter.

Kanjuro (suspicious): most people are hopping on Kanjuro and I agree with all the reasons it could be him. He lacks a definitive alibi.

Furthermore in the latest chapter something caught my attention. In the page where Kaido reveals that there might be a traitor among Odens ranks. We have an image of Oden and his Scabbards facing Kaido with surprise. But there is ONE PERSON that seems to not face Kaido. That one person is Kanjuro. Also he would be the only one to know that Raizo was on Zou.

Raizo (suspicious): there are reasons why I don’t think he’s clear after the events of Zou.

Jack was 100% certain that Raizo was on Zou without even considering the possibility that he’s gone. This would mean the information had to have come straight from the source. Jack would also need a Vivre card to find Zou and if it turns out Raizo is the traitor, then that explains why Jack was so certain he was there. Conveniently, Raizo was locked up in the Poneglyph room and could very well be the reason why he called Jack in the first place. The Vivre Card could’ve been given to the Beast Pirates before the time jump. Also as a ninja, it wouldn’t be hard for him to relay information and be a spy.
