LOKI, In The Underworld! | One Piece Chapter 1131

The spoilers for One Piece chapter 1131 primarily center around the first meeting between Monkey D. Luffy and Loki, which was the cliffhanger of the previous chapter. Leaked on November 5, 2024, these spoilers confirm that while the chapter does focus on their encounter, it also provides updates on the other two groups of Straw Hats, including Nico Robin and her companions who are still with the Giant Warrior Pirates. Notably, the end of the chapter hints at a troubling development that threatens one Straw Hat's hopes for Elbaph even before they arrive.

LOKI, In The Underworld! | One Piece Chapter 1131

The chapter's title is reportedly “Loki in the Underworld.” Initial spoilers do not mention a cover page story, suggesting there may not be one for this issue. Further summaries expected later in the week should clarify this. The title reflects the story's content, as Loki is trapped in the “Underworld,” bound by Sea Prism Stone handcuffs and chains, and guarded by animals, possibly the giant wolves seen before Luffy's descent into this area. In their conversation, Loki asks Luffy for freedom, promising to take down any pirate crew Luffy desires in return.

During their exchange, Loki insults Shanks, calling him a “chicken,” which provokes Luffy to retaliate with a Gear 4 attack. The effectiveness of this attack is not detailed in the initial spoilers but may be clarified in future leaks. The chapter also reveals Loki’s bounty, set at 2.6 million Beri by the World Government.

Curious about the connection between Shanks and Loki, Luffy demands answers, but Loki refuses to divulge any information unless he is freed. The spoilers do not clarify whether Luffy ultimately releases Loki or how he reacts. The narrative then shifts to Roronoa Zoro and his group, who narrowly escape from Road and his gang of pirates. The members of Road's gang are not specified, but they could either be disgruntled New Giant Warrior Pirates or Elbaphian citizens unhappy with Hajrudin’s decisions.

The focus then returns to the Giant Warrior Pirates and the Straw Hats accompanying them. While there is no update on their distance from Elbaph or their arrival time, Robin prepares to reunite with Saul, even having Brook cut her hair to match its pre-time-skip style for recognition. However, the chapter concludes with a shocking twist: Jaguar D. Saul suddenly collapses under mysterious circumstances.

One Piece 1096 Spoiler: Major News Update

One Piece is currently in the midst of one of its most captivating sequences of chapters, largely attributed to the unfolding events on Egghead Island within the final saga of the story. Eiichiro Oda has maintained a relentless narrative momentum since the commencement of this concluding saga. The previous chapter was undoubtedly a standout installment in the final saga, and fans hold high expectations for One Piece Chapter 1096, if not even greater ones.

One Piece Chapter 1096 is poised to pick up the narrative thread from the prior chapter, delving into the developments revolving around Kuma on God Valley. Following Kuma's escape from his captors, he was discovered by other slaves who sought to return him to the clutches of the Celestial Dragons. Their motives were self-preservation, as they wished to avoid the severe punishment and execution that awaited them. Coincidentally, this is when readers were introduced to a youthful Ivankov and, along with him, a new character named Ginny.

One Piece 1096 Spoiler: Major News Update

The significance of these two characters in this flashback is eagerly anticipated by fans, who foresee the emergence of a profound friendship between them. Throughout his life, Kuma has known no companionship beyond his parents, having spent the last nine years in captivity. In One Piece Chapter 1096, it is anticipated that Kuma will finally be given the opportunity to articulate his feelings, emotions, dreams, and desires.

Chances are high that Kuma, Ivankov, and Ginny will embark on an escape together, likely within the confines of God Valley. Consequently, the Navy will intensify its pursuit of these fugitive slaves, and as the harrowing hunt unfolds, these characters will be forced to contend with the oppressive Celestial Dragons.

Furthermore, One Piece Chapter 1096 is expected to lay the foundation for the inception of the Freedom Fighters. Currently, Ivankov is the only one who has revealed his aspirations, making it clear in the previous chapter that he is determined to survive at any cost. Ginny, although an enigmatic character thus far, probably harbors her own aspirations, which will likely be unveiled in the forthcoming chapters, possibly in Chapter 1096. As for Kuma, he likely possesses numerous dreams, with the foremost being the liberation of people and becoming a hero.

Kuma might express this ambition to Bonney, and readers could witness him articulating this concept for the first time in the next chapter. It's possible that Kuma will also share the legend of Nika with Ivankov and the others. The idea of liberating people and bringing joy to their lives could serve as the cornerstone for the formation of the Freedom Fighters. Fans are aware that the Freedom Fighters were a precursor to the Revolutionary Army, founded by Dragon. The seeds of the Freedom Fighters may very well be sown here on God Valley, 38 years in the past. There's also the tantalizing possibility that Dragon might make his inaugural appearance on this island, uniting forces with Ivankov, Kuma, and Ginny. If this comes to pass, the formation of the Freedom Fighters on this island is something that fans would greatly anticipate.

Of course, the ultimate decision rests with Oda, but the conditions appear ripe for this significant development, possibly commencing in One Piece Chapter 1096.

One Piece 1096 Trivia

"In One Piece Chapter 48, there's a unique and humorous Easter egg where the sound effect 'Don!' is used for the first time. This iconic 'Don' sound is famously known among One Piece fans as the impact sound that foreshadows a significant and usually comedic event in the story. It's a sound that has become synonymous with Oda's storytelling style and is often used to build anticipation and laughter among readers."

The Egghead Clash Continues In One Piece 1094!

The preview for One Piece Chapter 1094 was released today, emphasizing that the climactic battle between Luffy and Kizaru is drawing near. It's important to note that chapter previews are often intended to generate excitement and may not always reflect the exact content of the chapter. Nonetheless, they can offer hints about what's to come. In the ongoing intense showdown between Luffy and Kizaru, it's highly likely that the conflict will persist in Chapter 1094. In the previous chapter, Kizaru's reluctance to engage Luffy in combat was evident. His primary mission was to assassinate Vegapunk, and he preferred to focus on that rather than confronting a Yonko. However, Luffy is determined to protect Vegapunk at all costs, setting the stage for an epic clash. Fans anticipate Luffy emerging victorious in this battle.

The Egghead Clash Continues In One Piece 1094!

Chapter 1094 promises to showcase Gear 5 Luffy giving Kizaru a formidable challenge. Fans are eager to see if Luffy unveils new techniques and pushes the boundaries of Gear 5's capabilities. At the heart of Egghead Island lies the enigmatic "Egghead Incident," a topic frequently teased by Oda. Although the exact nature of this incident remains shrouded in mystery, it is clear that it will have significant repercussions. As the major players prepare for battle, including the Straw Hat Pirates facing off against one of the Five Elders, anticipation is mounting. While Kizaru still plays a crucial role, the arrival of Saturn on Egghead Island has shifted the focus.

The true nature of the Egghead Incident remains a mystery, leaving fans to speculate about its potential outcomes. It could involve Luffy challenging one of the Five Elders and destabilizing the Navy or even spell the downfall of the Straw Hat Pirates. As One Piece approaches its final saga, fans can only speculate about the unfolding of this intriguing event.

Sakazuki

Sakazuki, once known by his admiral alias Akainu, currently holds the position of Fleet Admiral within the Marines, succeeding the former Fleet Admiral, Sengoku. In the earlier part of the series, he served as one of the three admirals, being the last of the trio to make his debut. Upon assuming the role of Fleet Admiral, one of Sakazuki's initial decisions was to relocate Marine Headquarters to the New World, anticipating the onset of the New Pirate Age. In the manga, Akainu's name was initially mentioned by Nico Robin during the initial encounter with Aokiji. Meanwhile, in the anime, Vice Admiral Jonathan made reference to him earlier during the anime-exclusive G-8 Arc, which aired after Akainu's introduction in the manga. Throughout the series, Sakazuki stands out as an uncompromising advocate of Absolute Justice, to the extent that his extreme beliefs led Admiral Aokiji to oppose his promotion to Fleet Admiral, ultimately leading to Aokiji's resignation from the Marines after his efforts failed.

Admiral Akainu

Due to his actions, Sakazuki emerges as one of the principal antagonists during the Marineford Arc, alongside Sengoku and Marshall D. Teach, and continues to play a prominent antagonistic role in the Final Saga following his promotion. Sakazuki possesses the powers of the Magu Magu no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that grants him the ability to generate, manipulate, and transform his body into magma. His magma is incredibly scorching and explosively potent, rendering it exceptionally suited for combat. This enables Sakazuki to incinerate, liquefy, and obliterate obstacles in his path, establishing his Devil Fruit as one of the most formidable in terms of offensive capabilities. In combat, Sakazuki primarily employs his magma-infused arms to deliver searing punches or clawed strikes, capable of penetrating even the toughest adversaries. He can also dramatically enlarge his arms to hurl colossal magma fists towards distant targets or unleash multiple magma fists, resembling a volley of meteor-like projectiles that wreak havoc on the battlefield. Additionally, he has been observed crafting his magma fist into the shape of a fanged dog head, a nod to his associated animal motif. Beyond the imperviousness conferred by his magma body against all but Haki-based attacks, the intense heat emanating from Sakazuki's form acts as a potent deterrent against adversaries attempting physical strikes, as they risk being severely burned. Moreover, his abilities grant him remarkable agility; he can melt through various obstacles, including solid ground, and briefly attain flight by propelling himself with jet bursts of magma. Even within the realm of Logia powers, Sakazuki's capabilities exhibit exceptional potential and devastating might. Prolonged use of his abilities over ten days resulted in the transformation of an entire island's climate, permanently converting it into a blazing inferno that extends to the surrounding sea. During the clash between Blackbeard and Law, Sakazuki awaited the outcome but expressed frustration over the duties of being Fleet Admiral. Subsequently, he received intelligence regarding recent events on Egghead Island, pondering the possibility of Vegapunk discovering his potential assassination by CP0 and its implications for the Marines' combat capabilities should Vegapunk align with the Straw Hats. He also received word of Kizaru's approach to Egghead and directed his subordinates to instruct CP0 not to engage the Straw Hats until the arrival of Kizaru and the Marine forces.

How Powerful Is Borsalino?

Aokiji and Akainu engaged in a battle for the position of Fleet Admiral, where their strengths were remarkably close, with Akainu having a slight edge in power. This not only supports the notion mentioned earlier but also underscores the nearly equal prowess of the original Admirals.

How does this compare to Luffy?

Eiichiro Oda has assigned bounties to the Marines, potentially serving as an indicator of their capabilities. While it's essential to note that bounties do not provide a precise measure of an individual's strength, they offer a rough estimation of their power, albeit with some exceptions.

Interestingly, both Kizaru and Luffy share an identical bounty: a staggering 3 billion Berries!

How Powerful Is Borsalino?

In the world of One Piece, few Devil Fruit abilities can rival the sheer power of light manipulation. Kizaru, the possessor of the Glint-Glint Fruit, wields this ability with unmatched prowess. Not only can he move at the speed of light, but he also commands and molds light particles to his will. Kizaru proves equally formidable in both close-quarter combat and long-range warfare. When engaging from a distance, he's capable of precision marksmanship, unleashing a devastating barrage of light particles upon his adversaries. During the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, he even showcased the ability to shape light into a formidable sword. Thanks to his mastery of light, Kizaru boasts superhuman reflexes, enabling him to effortlessly evade unexpected attacks, whether they come from up close or afar.

An occasional online debate centers around whether Silvers Rayleigh could outmatch Kizaru in an all-out duel. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that Rayleigh had to employ observation haki just to keep pace with Kizaru's lightning-fast movements. Even more telling is the fact that Rayleigh grew fatigued after a mere three minutes of battling the admiral. Kizaru's extraordinary speed allows him to seamlessly transition between long-range and close-quarters combat, adjusting the distance to his advantage at will.

Another character often touted for their potential is Enel, the self-proclaimed ruler of Skypiea, known for wielding lightning. However, the speed of lightning he employs (clocking in at 270,000 mph) pales in comparison to the speed of light (an astonishing 670,000,000 mph). Kizaru harnesses this immense velocity in his attacks, rendering them devastatingly effective. Should Kizaru unleash the full extent of his power, it becomes challenging to envision many who could successfully stand against him.

One Piece Chapter 1092: Luffy Vs Kizaru Rematch

After the latest installment in the series released over the weekend, devoted fans of Eiichiro Oda's original manga eagerly anticipate One Piece chapter 1092. The Egghead Incident has taken center stage, generating immense excitement among fans as they look forward to the continuation of the epic battles, namely Luffy vs. Admiral Kizaru and Zoro vs. Rob Lucci. Regrettably, fans will have to endure a longer wait than anticipated due to a one-week break in the official release of One Piece chapter 1092. This delay also pushes back the release of spoilers, leaving fans in the dark about the latest developments until the release week approaches. While this news is undoubtedly disappointing for readers, the dedicated fanbase of the series has been engaging in spirited discussions and speculations about the upcoming official release.

One Piece Chapter 1092: Luffy Vs Kizaru Rematch

Given that the previous chapter concluded with the commencement of Luffy and Kizaru's showdown, it's highly likely that One Piece chapter 1092 will dive straight into this long-anticipated rematch. Fans can anticipate Kizaru questioning whether the Straw Hat crew has truly grown significantly stronger, or perhaps asserting his own growth since their last encounter. Subsequently, readers can expect an exchange of blows between the two characters as the dialogue unfolds in a similar vein. Kizaru might jest about the events at the Sabaody Archipelago two years prior and draw parallels to the current situation, noting the absence of Bartholomew Kuma to aid them. Luffy, in response, may convey the newfound self-reliance of his crew when facing Admiral-level opponents. Following this, One Piece chapter 1092 is likely to shift its focus to Dr. Vegapunk and others in the Labo-Phase, who have successfully restrained Kaku and are in the process of hacking into the Frontier Dome defense system. Anticipate a confrontation where Kaku expresses ignorance of Lucci's plans, potentially leading to a heated argument with Sanji. There's even a possibility that Kaku manages to break free from his confinement, providing Sanji with a formidable opponent while Luffy and Zoro deal with their respective adversaries. This brief update on the activities of the other Straw Hat crew members and Dr. Vegapunk will likely be followed by an intense clash between Zoro and Lucci, occurring in the immediate vicinity. Fans can expect Lucci to continue boasting about the formidable duo of himself and Kizaru, presenting a formidable challenge for the Straw Hats, while Zoro may choose to either ignore or dismiss his claims. While Luffy and Kizaru engage in a battle of words and fists, Zoro may prioritize securing a victory rather than engaging in dialogue with Lucci. Furthermore, the content of One Piece chapter 1092 may offer clues about what lies ahead in the immediate future of the series. For instance, if the chapter focuses on Saint Jaygarcia Saturn and the Marines, it could hint at a significant military operation on Egghead Island in the upcoming issues. Regardless, fans can anticipate that the closing scenes of the chapter will set the stage for a major development, the nature of which remains a tantalizing mystery.

One Piece 1066: What To Expect From The Chapter

The exciting adventures in One Piece 1066 never stop. Watch out for the latest chapter of your favorite manga online only here. Fresh from release and free. The first revelations about the Great Kingdom and the Void Century is out, two mysteries that have haunted the series for decades, completely changing the landscape of the One Piece world and its history. The world of One Piece has a unique feel to it, which makes it pretty hard to categorize. The majority of fans always assumed that it was a fantasy version of the pirate age, but since the early stages of the story, there have been elements of advanced technology such as telephones, cyborgs, and laser beams, which seemed strangely out of place. Most of these inventions were attributed to the work of one genius scientist, Dr. Vegapunk, which made them fit more easily into the setting. However, now that Vegapunk has finally appeared in the manga, he has confessed that, rather than a futurist, he can be described as an archeologist.
One Piece Chapter - 1066

One Piece 1066: the Great Kingdom

As this mysterious civilization has been mentioned several times in the series, in relation to the Void Century, a century-long gap in recorded and archeological history, the study of which is forbidden by the World Government. It's a common belief that the Void Century holds the keys to all the mysteries in One Piece, but no one would have ever expected that the first, big revelation would have been that the series is actually set in a post-apocalyptic world. The Great Kingdom was destroyed by the countries that would later form the World Government, but if that civilization was so advanced it means that its downfall plunged the world into an era of technological regress. This is a classic trope for post-apocalyptic sci-fi settings, but no one would have ever expected that it applied to One Piece too. Considering who was responsible for the end of the Great Kingdom, then, it's not a coincidence that the most advanced technology available belongs to the Navy and the World Government, including, perhaps, the Ancient Weapon Uranus, capable of leveling an entire country in an instant. It's hard to predict how this revelation about the Great Kingdom will impact the future of the series, but it's certain that the world of One Piece will never look the same again.

One Piece 1066:The Real Vegapunk

When Franky shoots Seraphim with a beam, we see Lilith with Edison Vegapunk, where the former is furious about Seraphim getting hit by a beam as it is still in development. Edison gathers data from this fight and asks Vegapunk Pythagoras to make a blueprint and Vegapunk York to eat for them.

Then we see Shakka appear with York on the ground, where the latter lays down on the ground and takes a nap. Shakka greets the Straw Hats, who are stuck to the ground due to the boots they are wearing, and says that he did it because he does not trust pirates. Shakka further asks if they think this is an island of the future. Excited, Franky says that it is beyond the future and he has things unlike things he has seen before. However, Shakka tells them it is quite the contrary, as this island is of the past rather than the future.

It is similar to a Highly advanced kingdom, unlike Egghead, which is a civilization from 900 years ago. A sequence of the last part also shows that Luffy and others see a gigantic ancient robot.

Dr. Stone Boichi to Illustrate New One Piece Ace Spin-Off Manga

One Piece celebrated its 20th Anniversary of the anime franchise last year with a number of cool projects. One of which had Dr. Stone and Sun-Ken Rock illustrator Boichi remake the Zoro vs. Hawkeye Mihawk chapter from the East Blue saga in his art style. It was a particularly cool and unique take on Eiichiro Oda's series, and soon fans will get to see Boichi's spin on the franchise once more. The latest issue of One Piece Magazine (as reported by Anime News Network) announced that the Ace spin-off novels will be getting their own manga adaptation from Boichi. Launching this Summer, this new manga will be adapting the One Piece: Ace's Story side novels that flesh out Ace's journey through the series. There are currently no details as to how long this manga adaptation will last, or how many pages each chapter release will be, but Boichi has been confirmed as illustrator adapting Sho Hinata's novel of the same name.

Viz Media has actually licensed the spin-off novel for an English language release, and is gearing up to launch the first volume next month. They describe One Piece: Ace's Story as such, "Get the backstory on Luffy's brother Ace in this first of two prose stories that continue the high seas adventure ONE PIECE! This volume contains the origin story of Luffy's adopted brother Ace, and tells of his thrilling quest for the legendary One Piece treasure." Dr. Stone has been one of the most popular Weekly Shonen Jump series, and grew even more so with the first season of the anime series. As fans continue to wait for more news on Season 2 of the anime, you can currently check out more of the series not only through weekly chapter releases but through its spin off, Dr. Stone Reboot: Byakuya. Boichi has been rather busy for the series as the illustrator recently took the reigns on a Dr. Stone miniseries focusing on Senku's father years before the main series kicked its Stone World into action. Now we'll see what the artist does with Ace! Are you excited to see Boichi take on more of the One Piece world? Are you excited to finally experience a new Ace adventure after all this time? How did you feel when Ace's fate was first revealed in the series?

The Devil Fruit Theory

Today I’m going to talk about Devil Fruits.Devil Fruits are strange fruits. They essentially give incredible abilities to the person, animal, or an object who eats it. A single devil fruit grants devastating powers to its weilder. They won’t be able to swim, but f**K it. I don’t even know how to swim anyway. There are three types of Devil Fruits logia, paramecia, and zoan. There’s not a lot information on how they work. Therefore, I’ll explain how I believe they work. If the World Government were responsible for the Devil Fruits creation. They would be creating new Fruits. And Vegapunk wouldn’t have to be studying them. Perhaps, when the war between the Great Kingdom and the World Government started.

https://onepiecehype.blogspot.com/

The Devil Fruits ended spread all over the world. After the war was over, the World Government knew which Devil Fruits were the most powerful. Therefore, they decided to find them. This could explain why the World Government has powerful Devil Fruits. According to Doflamingo the Devil Fruits have a second stage, which contains “a whole new world of possibilities after the ‘awakening’.” Other theorist believe that the ‘awakening’ of a logia. It’s some kind of monster such as the one Enel created. Sabo didn’t need an awakening’ to create a fire fist. But, what does a logia devil fruit’s’awakening’ do then? I believe that the best example of what a logia ‘awakening’ can do it’s Punk Hazard. Normally Aokiji’s ice would melt after some days. But, Punk Hazard seems to be an exception. Therefore, I think that a logia ‘awakening’ change the surroundings of the user eternally. This is a great advantage against someone who’s not able to fight in extreme ecosystems. During the Alabasta arc Lassoo was introduced.

https://onepiecehype.blogspot.com/

Lassoo is a gun that ‘ate’ a Devil Fruit. Since he’s an object he can be upgraded. But, how can an object ‘eat’ something? When a human or animal eats something it uses it’s mouth as an input. And it’s used as chemical fuel, which ends in every single cell of the user. Kalifa one of the Cp9 members, acquired a Devil Fruit during the Enies Lobby. She took her time eating it. So, I guess the Devil Fruits don’t have be eaten right away. This would give enough time to mixed them with metal in order to create weapons. The Devil Fruit would be part of the weapon. Whichever the technique maybe. It only works with Zoan Devil Fruits. The reason it’s because the owner of the object. Will be able to command and interact with the object. It could probably work with logia and paramecia. If the owner of the object can use haki. Conquerors haki could be used to tame the devils inside the Devil Fruits. If they exist. It could also work if the owner is able to talk and hear the voice of all things. Perhaps, Blackbeard is using one of this methods. I also believe that in order ‘awaken’ a devil fruit. The haki/spirit of the user must be combined with the demon’s haki/spirit. It could also be possible that Devil Fruits contain the spirits of the D. family and their haki’s abilities. Devil Fruits are really interesting. Oda has a great imagination.

What Does The “D” Stand For In One Piece?

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all aware of the middle letter “D” that is is often present in the name of certain characters in One Piece. These are usually some very important people, and of course, Monkey D Luffy is one of them. But, what exactly is this “D”? This is extremely confusing as around 850+ chapters in, we don’t know anything about it. Today, I’ve come across a theory regarding what D could mean. So let’s begin. In an SBS, Oda revealed that the D initial would be revealed later in the story.
Question: In “Monkey D. Luffy”, what does the D stand for?! Is it “donburi” (a bowl) or maybe “daibutsu” (giant Buddha statue)? Or maybe…!! I’m really interested. Please tell me.
Oda: I’ve gotten a ridiculous number of these letters… I’ve gotten a lot, but I cannot answer that question. I can’t answer it yet… Please just read it as “D”and don’t think anything about it, for now.

https://onepiecehype.blogspot.com/

The D therefore MUST be short for something and NOT just a D. So far we know,
The D’s are the descendants of the Ancient Kingdom, who fought the Alliance(world government) during the void century, and were eventually destroyed. The initial D was created so that the descendants of the AK could identify/find other descendants despite having been forced to hide and spread themselves across the world in order to survive. The initial was originally supposed to be “Secret”, however, over the generations many D families forgot this like the Monkey D and Gol D family. People of the AK, were most likely spiritually similar to Luffy/ Garp/ Roger/ Ace etc. For the most part.

This is speculation, but I believe the answer to this question allows for a vital assumption to me made. If the D stood for any random word that would not indicate the D’s relation to the AK, there would be no need to use an initial, and they could have used the full word. If this is true, than the D has to stand for something that would indicate that the D’s are related to the AK. This is why the D originally was attempted to be a secret initial. Note, this is not necessarily true. They could have just used the letter D because it was easy to remember, or just because they felt like it. However, I believe it far more likely the D refers to an important historical word related to the AK. So, there is a belief that the D, should be read as the same in both English and Japanese. I agree. The problem is that I can not read or speak Japanese, so rather than post any ideas about what I think the letter may actually stand for, i’m going to instead define what I think it may symbolically mean. For example; The Japanese word for Devil would be Akuma. Since Akuma would start with an A and not a D, many reject this possibility. The D is most likely to be related to the words “Devil” or ”Demon”. Based on what I have found, it is most likely a word that symbolizes “Devil” or “Demon” etc.

https://onepiecehype.blogspot.com/

1. Zoro rhetorically ask’s whether or not Luffy is, “the offspring of the devil” in chapter 5. What kind of awesome forshadowing would it be for Oda to have dropped the hint that the D. meaning Devil in chapter 5.
2. Rosinante refers to this family as the “natural enemy of God”.
It’s important to understand what Rosinante likely means when he says “God”. This almost has to be a reference to the CD belief that they are God’s. The AK and the founders of the world government fought during the void century and the world government won the war.
So if the descendants of the founders of the world government call themselves “Gods”, it’s appropriate for the descendants of the AK to be referred to as “God’s natural enemy”. In other words, they could be symbolically called “Devils” and/or “Demons”.
Interestingly, Nami says the same thing about Luffy, when he fights against Enel.
While it’s true that Nami isn’t talking about all the D’s, we can’t forget that Luffy seems to be the epitome of this lineage. This in combination with Rosinante’s comments is extremely convincing. Oda wants us to know that they are in opposition of “God”.
That aside. Remember Nico Robin, and her epithet put forward by the World Government?
Yep, Nico Robin is known as, “the Devil Child”. For almost 900 years, it seems that reading the Poneglyphs created by the AK has been illegal.
The only known instance of anybody being able to decipher the markings on the Poneglyphs came 22 years ago, when the scholars of Ohara attempted to uncover the history of the void century. The only known survivor of the Oharans is Nico Robin, also known by the epithet “Devil Child”. Perhaps the world government thinks that only a “Devil” would be able to read the Poneglyphs.
So how/why could the D. Symbolically mean “Devil”, “Demon”?
If I had to hazard a guess, the term “devil” was bestowed upon the AK by the world government, and the descendants of these people use the first initial of the term, almost as a joke, to help identify their lineage.
Since these “devils” created and used the ability giving fruits (which I believe they possessed as a specialty), it would make sense for the world government to call them “devil” fruits. I say as a joke, because it’s obvious the D’s are not the evil ones. I think using “Devil” symbolically as their way of identifying each other is their way of saying, “We don’t care what you call us, or what derogatory names you give us. The only thing that matters is the truth.”
Final Conclusion:
I think it’s most likely the D is short for something that relates to or is symbolic for “Demon” or “Devil”. There is so much evidence i’m willing to go so far as to say, this is what everyone should expect it to be!
